Coran Black is a 25 year old young man with medium-length brown hair. He is of average height for his age and gender, and looks athletic, but not much muscle. His dark green eyes add to his mysteriosity, and some of his dark exterior.
He is optimistic looking, but really, it is statistical. If it'll work, he's optimistic about it, and will make it work any way possible. If there is any chance it won't work, he won't do it. He has a tactical mind, which is why he hasn't been caught after all these years.
Coran figures he was a mistake; he was told as a young boy that he was left on the doorstep of a spice house. He was taken up by a Bonnie-and-Clyde-esque couple. He remembers them bringing people back, and calling them his uncle, and then proceeding to kill, and when the dad was with his friends, rape, the person as Coran watched.
They tried to raise him as a normal kid until his "parents" were caught when he was 10. He remembers the day as it was yesterday. The authorities broke in and took Coran. He heard two blaster shots from the house, and silence. He was placed inside a bus as he saw two bags being brought out.
He was sent to a military reform school where he showed a mind for planning. He excelled in classes involving combat and all things military. They had him in line for ROTC. He spend two years in that school, training himself until he could break out with a plan he had been making since the day he arrived.
Out of the school, he needed a weapon, first and foremost. Alone on Coruscant, he planned to break into a blaster shop late at night and steal a pistol or two. The night of the robbery, he was stopped by a beggar who claimed he was an old jedi master. The man looked drunk and dangerous, so Coran agreed.
Through the training, he was taught things he didn't believe, but he still showed interest. He appeared to do jedi-like things, but he dismissed them as tricks. The "jedi" gave him a blaster, and a mission to build his own lightsaber.
He left that night, and with a blaster he robbed a bank. His first crime at age 12. From then on, he took what he needed, finally deciding to earn an "honest" living at the age of 15. He took a two-month piloting course, and he earned a pilot's liscence with the ability to have up to two weapons on a ship up to the size of a space transport.
He got some connections to a big smuggling ring, and started in small arms transport. This is what he did until he was 20, when the boss decided to make him an arms dealer for his cartel. It was a small Nar Shadda based cartel, fronted by a trade corporation.
When he was promoted, he bought a YT-2000 body from a junkyard and is restoring it at his garage/home on Nar Shadda. For his work, he uses the Corellian Corvette.
He's had a few close calls with officials, but he remains uncaptured, and his true name unknown to anyone.

He is a veterinarian who uses the dark side of the force to help his animals. Force Choke is a great way to stop bleeding on a little fuzzy kitty cat.
