Asimov started his life like most of the initial Machina as a droid created by the Evoron species, hidden deep in the Unknown Regions on their homeworld of Evoro. Though there were so deep in the Evorons were not cut off from other civilizations as they did trade with neighbors and knew some things about galactic society. What they saw they didn't care for and remained anonymous from it all, preferring to deal with their local neighbors rather than anyone else so as to not invite aggression from more militaristic factions. Their view as to let the outworlders butcher eachother while they simply wanted to improve their own society. This would be their own downfall though as their species would be ravaged by a fatal biological weapon the Machina believe was created by the more hostile elements on their homeworld. From that there was nothing left as the virus killed all, every last Evoron became infected and died due to the virus and its capacity to spread.

With the loss of their makers, the droid of Evoron became lost, feeling no sense of purpose as there was no one to give them orders. Self-termination became a major issue even as Asimov, who had watched the little boy he'd raised and taught for years die in his own arms, tried to establish some form of order. Asimov had managed to survive the shock of his master's death by taking his last words to heart, deciding to survive and salvage what was left. His early days were full of great difficulty as most of his initial encounters ended with the droids frying themselves in grief and loss. It was only by beginning to explain they still had a purpose that he began to save the more flexible models as the more stand ones simply couldn't cope. From those he saved he created salvage teams, coordinating them to increase saving efforts as more and more droids were brought in, gathered to hear Asimov's ideal of purpose.

From that speech and their efforts in beginning to build a new society, the Machina were born. Asimov did what he could to steer them in the right direction, embracing what he had taught his former master about the ideals of democracy and morality. He also aided in the creation of new droids models which almost all Machina are save for the founders like Asimov who are original Evoron constructs though now more heavily upgraded with their program restrictions removed. Since that time Asimov spent his efforts in creating the educational system used for new droids brought into the world as well as lecturing on the Interlink as the first actions taken to establish a full government.

The Machina looked up to and prasied Asimov, hanging onto his words which has upset him slightly as some have tried to elevate him to the status of a Maker which for droids is godhood. Asimov does not wish to be held in such esteem, he only wants the Machina to embrace his ideal of purpose which he continues to stress to them. He has realized it will take time though and reluctantly accepted being elected as the Prime Designate of the new government they had established, the Machina Praxis. From this position he has pressed for increased galactic involvement though expansion in their own solar system is first priority. He views that life must be experienced to understand it even as Machina society.

It is from this thought he pushed for Coalition membership for the Machina because it was the better choice opposed to making contact with the authoritarian Empire. Asimov holds dear the ideals of a democractic society which is expressed by his extremely open government and decision making system based around Interlink voting. He understands this cannot really be so easily taken on by organic societies due to their nature but wishes to promote democracy because it causes less suffering when it is running like it should. Yet Asimov does not know what the future holds for him nor his people as they continue to grow and learn in this new state of freedom. Only time can be the judge of what is to come.
