Let me start by just saying that my family is greatly respected on many planets and in many systems. I come from a family of Corellian blood. I am Corellian born and raised. My father who is the Don of Dons told me it was time i branched off and started my own family. I respected his wishes and moved away from Corellia. Now i span the vast planets and systems looking for a base of so calld "Operations". I will not in this tell you what it is that my family or i do as a perfesion.

Let me start by saying that you are an idiot.

Did you even bother to read any of the other major biographical submissions? If you did, how is it that you came away from those with the idea that four lines of first person bullshit would somehow be sufficent...

The idea is retarded; you are going to basically make a carbon copy of The Sopranos/The Godfather for TRF...

... which has already been done, and far better then your half assed attempt.

Anthony Corleone... Isn't that a character from the Godfather?
Author: HanSolo031691. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 01:13 AM
No it is not theres Vito Corleone and Sonny and Fredo and Mike but no Anthony
Author: Wilkar. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 03:11 AM
Oh.. well of course not
Author: Aleister Mianar. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 03:54 AM
Its basically the Correllian Mafia. I have to hand it to him for originality though.
Author: Ahnk Rashanagok. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 07:55 AM
...I see no originality here. I think the post Beff made was pretty much spot on.
Author: Gro. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 03:20 PM
You have a long way to go and a lot of work before the Union would let you even know they exist.

Thank-you for your interest, but no thanks.

Ahnk: In as such that I don't think I've seen a Mafia group in play yet. in a star wars setting.

So what is Anthony Corleone's father's name?

I guess you missed an obscure faction called the Marzullo Clan. Can't blame you; they were small time, mostly stuck to themselves, never really made any waves.
Author: Aleister Mianar. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 06:43 PM
I didn't really consider them a Mafia, and no i didn't miss it, as i was a member of it.

They just considered themselves a family of sith though... not quite the same, at least not as blatant :-p
Author: Omnae. Posted At: 07/21/2009 at 07:27 PM
There was an old group that Ahnk started called The Family. It was based on a crime family setup. I want to say the family name started with a "Z" but it's been a while.

Maim set up; Somir Crime Family/Syndicate.

Second, I reiterate my previous post.

Let my just start by saying that you are an idiot. And anyone who supports your laughable and incomplete "idea" is also an idiot.

*chuckles*

Let me also start by saying, that Beff is awesome.
Author: Beff Pike. Posted At: 07/23/2009 at 12:12 AM
That's not news to anyone here.

Beff i have been doing some digging around on trf and it turns out that my previous assumtion was correct you are a cynical dick and obviously im not the only one around here that knows this. I am new to TRF and i thought the point of it was to rp well thats me rping and by terms of deffiniton of rping i can be who or what ever i want thats kinda the point or maybe you were to busy bein that formentiond cynical dick to remember that
Author: Wes Vos. Posted At: 07/24/2009 at 09:08 PM
Calling Beff a cynical dick is nothing new. I think he's been called both of those (cynical and a dick) many times before, so if your intent was to offend, you didn't. Trust me. While at times I might agree with you, he is also a member in very good standing at TRF, part of the TRF staff, and generally one of what I would consider the TRF legends. For a newbie to come to the site thinking that he can call someone like Beff a cynical dick, and mean it, is the height of arrogance, not to mention stupidity.

Here's the problem, Mr. HanSolo031691. Did you read the rules and FAQ? Did you read through any of the Battlegrounds posts? We all have our time of newbie-hood, but I can understand Beff's, and the others', frustration with your bio.

Had your post been, "What can I do to improve?", things might be different. Obviously some people on the site have problems with your bio and your character idea. Frankly, I agree with them; it's not in the least original. Come up with something new and inventive; don't rip off a movie.

TRF claims to be an RP board, though many of us here (myself included) prefer to refer to it as collaberative writing, or collaborative fiction. TRF has a great history, and while it is not required that you know all of it, you should at least be familiar with the basics before you really get started. I made that mistake with my first character on TRF, and it took me about six months to a year to really get acclimated to the site. For example, you wanted to create a mafia-style group on Corellia. Perhaps, in doing so, you should have done a forum search for threads dealing with Corellia so you know what else has happened there. From that, you could have woven those threads into a more expansive bio (something on the level of 1000-2000 words would have been appropriate) and few people would actually then be complaining.

Additionally, running your posts through a spelling/grammar checker would be helpful, too, so the rest of us could figure out what exactly it is you're talking about without having to work our brains on overtime.

Beff is such a cynical dick.

but he's a loveable cynical dick.

Something you have to realize, ultimately, is that Beff is a cynical jackass to everyone :-p

It's just his way.

Granted, we were all for the most part in agreement that your concept needed work, but, just because one guy says something, doesn't mean you're not ok... but when 5 do, thats when you should take notice.
Being new to the board, can be a bitch, believe me, I know. I remember how it was years ago.

Ironically...I went through a similar process with Beff less than 6 months ago, and I've been RPing star wars for 9 years. However, His criticisms, were voiced by others on the rank transfer that I had inteded, and, after thinking about it, I totally agreed with him. I created a fresh character with a new perspective, and honestly, I haven't been happier since.

Morale of the Story: Never let the braying of one donkey keep you from your goal, but when a pack of bulls stand in your path, perhaps, changing course and reevaluating your situation is warranted.

Welcome to TRF Anthony :)

Six months ago?

Don't misrepresent yourself; it was less then one month ago.

just because one guy says something, doesn't mean you're not ok

Unless that one guy is me.
Author: Aleister Mianar. Posted At: 07/28/2009 at 03:57 AM
I said and i quote "less than 6 months "

Less than 6 months, would count as anything from 0 seconds, to 5 months, 31 days 23 hours, and 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

therefore, its not a misrepresentation. Also, Once i found the new life with the new character its felt like its been six months of kickass writing packed into less than a month, so, my internal time clock is all screwy :-p

HOWEVER, the moral of my post still stands :-p

Sure, that's like saying I've killed less then sixty people. While the truth is that I've killed zero persons, it just makes me sound more hardcore. Which is why I'm still going to go ahead and call you a noob. Noob.
Author: Aleister Mianar. Posted At: 07/28/2009 at 06:51 AM
Alright Beff. Yes, I've been on TRF less than a month, and perhaps that makes me a noob here. This i don't deny. However, Just because someone is "new" here, doesn't mean their new everywhere. Not to mention, i WAS here at the original inception of TRF, I just dissapeared for like... 8 years :)

Who was that dude? Kept pushing a boulder up a mountain.

I think we should re-name you.
Author: Aleister Mianar. Posted At: 07/28/2009 at 05:25 PM
Meh. No need. I'm here to roleplay and tell a story, I don't need to push boulders :)
Author: Watcher. Posted At: 08/01/2009 at 01:21 AM
Coconuts are easier to push up mountains.
Author: Beff Pike. Posted At: 08/01/2009 at 06:32 AM
Unless coconut is innuendo for my balls, in which case; you'd be better off with the boulder.
