Xander was born David Alexander Halcyon, the son of a Corellian Jedi Knight named Ordan Halcyon and Shi'ido Archaeologist, Aila Uzrad on Corellia. Shortly after his birth his father was killed by a Bounty Hunter who had been hired to kill him after Ordan had taken down a notorious crime boss on Tatooine. Retrieving her husbands lightsaber Aila surprised the Bounty Hunter and barely managed slash him across the chest.

Aila then left Corellia with her baby son and went home to the Shi'ido homeworld of Lao-Mon. There the boy grew in peace with his mother and her side of the family. The young boy was taught by his grandfather everything from reading to writing, while his mother taught him to follow in her footsteps as an Archaeologist.

Picked on as a child for being a half Shi'ido, he was taught a free form marital art by his grandfather that valued freedom of movement as well as efficiency, directness and simplicity. His mother told him as much as she could about his father. However the boy developed a resentment to his father for not being there for him, though he respected him for what he had accomplished in his life. On the day he finished his schooling he was given his father's lightsaber as a gift, as well as an old freighter.

With not much to his name, David began using the alias of Xander and to further himself from his father used the surname Starkiller. He left Lao-Mon and quickly amassed a small fortune for his discoveries on Ossus and Muunilinst, however soon after his ship crashed leaving him without a transport and pretty much broke havign to by a new ship.

Just a suggestion - might want to read up on the history of Ossus. Zark has done quite a bit of work with the planet with his Rogue Jedi Order/Jedi Enclave - might want to include some of that into the bio. I'd also suggest a bit longer, if you have the time - we at TRF tend to bloviate - a lot. The more in-depth you can get, the better.

Otherwise, not bad. Look forward to seeing you write in the Battlegrounds.

Yeah, Ossus has played a semi-pivotal role in the events of TRF for years. Its been mostly rebuilt, recolonized, and is really one of the very few beacons of the Lightside in the galaxy.

Still, I'm not going to just say "no u can't!". One of my in progress storylines that's kind of on the back burner involved Zark purging the Great Jedi Library of a Darkside presence in preparation for the return of the Jedi (get it?) and cites that as being a reason the former capital city of Knossa remained in ruins for so long.

So its conceivable that you could have found some potentially powerful/valuable artifacts in either the ruins of the city or the Library itself. From what I can tell you seem to be leaning toward Darkside, so that might play to your favor. If you'd like, you could let me know what your intentions were in that respect either in this thread or via PM, and I can do my best to accommodate.

I do have him leaning more to a dark side story, history shows I have a lot of experience with dark siders. Right now he could go either way if I did make him a Force user.

I apologize in that I didn't know much on the history of Ossus here. But if you have a RP going that shows that in depth, it could be used to eventually be a factor if I take him down a path as a force user. Other then that I saw Ossus as a place that would be an Archaeological gold mine that could help give artifacts to the Jedi and put credits in his pocket.

Just run a forum search in the Battlegrounds for Ossus. All the necessary threads should be there.

Oh boy, well. You asked for it.

Dark Shadows of Wars Past (RJO Takeover of Ossus)

Initial Rogue Jedi Order takeover of the planet.
Initial State of Ossus: pretty much as is during normal EU around our timeline. Abandoned, only occupied by the native Ysanna (descendants of Jedi survivors)
Changes: Rogue Jedi Order claims the planet as its base of operations. Reconstruction of the planet, restoration to its former glory. Capital city of Orilcia founded, location of the Rogue Temple.

Ossus slowly becomes a major galactic player as RJO steps up its galactic activity. Inevitably becomes a part of the New Republic.

Shadows on a Fist Pt. I - The Ghosts of Ossus

The Second Thrawn Crisis, massive political upheaval.
Changed State of Ossus: Ravaged by warfare, billions slaughtered. Orilcia razed to the ground. Gash Jiren ousted from the RJO and New Republic, Jereck Musaile comes to power. Jiren escapes Orilcia with loyal forces, rebels against Musaile's corrupt rule.

Shadows on a Fist Pt. II - Stronghold of Darkness UNFINISHED

Second chapter of Shadows, incomplete.
Changed State of Ossus: Entire planet bombarded from orbit, devastated.

The End (As Written By Gash Jiren)

Conclusion of events of Shadows.
Changed State of Ossus: Continued military conflict, rebels strike, discover Achrion production facility is not on Ossus, retreat. Many lives lost. Eventually Thrawn is defeated, Jiren goes missing, returns later, Musaile is executed for treason, the New Republic and RJO is cleansed of corruption. Ossus begins reconstruction.

Legacies: Alpha Ex Omega

The beginning of Omnae's wildly popular and wildly unfinished Legacies series. The prelude, Alpha Ex Omega, covers the events of the funeral of Gash Jiren.
Changed State of Ossus: Funeral is held on a partially rebuilt Ossus. The general mood of the thread and the planet seems very grim. On a practical level, the planet is stable. Orilcia is rebuilt, other parts of the planet are nursing their wounds. But there is a long way to go.

What You Leave Behind You.... Failure

Also known as The Adventures of Ciscero Finn. Super secret agent X9-erm, Ciscero, is tasked with finding out why Imperial armadas that travel to Ossus never come back, and why an operative has been killed already.
Changed State of Ossus: Planet almost completely rebuilt and restored to its former glory. First account of Aesthen City, known for its bustling spaceport and noted to have a museum commemorating the late Gash Jiren, with a massive statue of the Rogue Jedi Master standing in front of it. Ossus is once again a testament to its founders, a sparkling jewel in a dark galaxy. Ossus at this time has no affiliation with a galactic body, instead being governed by a planetary Parliament.

Garden of Eden (Ossus) UNFINISHED (Semi In Progress)

My incomplete Ossan storyline. Still a work very much in progress, but right now I'm on hiatus from writing for it. My posts in Cataclysm take place after GoE, and allude to events not yet transcribed in it.
Changed state of Ossus: Pretty much the same as Omnae's thread. Shining light in a dark galaxy, but there have been conflicts between the Ossan majority and the native Ysanna, accepted under the leadership of Gash Jiren but slightly lost without the Rogue Jedi Master to guide them through the culture shock.

Cataclysm UNFINISHED (In Progress)

Current uberthread occurring right now. Very little has been involved incorporating Ossus to the storyline, but what has is very noteworthy. Begins in earnest on page 6.
Changed state of Ossus: Completely rebuilt, including the reconstruction of the ancient capital of Knossa and the purification of the Great Jedi Library. The Ysanna have claimed Knossa as their city, and for the first time in a long time an organized Jedi presence rises in the galaxy, deemed the Jedi Enclave. Over the past year they have taken up residence in the Library, led by Jedi Masters Zark Ekan and Teros Tre'Na. The Ysanna are led by Okko the Wise, former elder and now Mayor of Knossa and Jedi Knight. Ossus itself remains under Parliamentary rule with Master Tre'Na representing the Knossa region, and has joined the League of Nations as a stonewall against Imperial occupation in the wake of Naboo. The Ossan Navy, largely unnecessary during the time of peace, has been overhauled in the wake of the Reaver threat. What military vessels remain patrol the border with new capital ships in production.
