[i.] -- Schematics: Full Name: Alexander Sturm Gender: Male Approximate Age: Twenty-six Apparent Age: Thirty-two Race: Human Class: Counter-Terrorist Occupation: Freelance Security Expert / Freedom Fighter Rank: Senior Security Consultant / Cell leader Affiliations: Rebel Alliance; Thyferran Resistance; Coreguard Security Services Homeworld: Corulag Nobility: None Marital Status: formerly engaged Languages Spoken: • Galactic Basic [ii.] -- Physical Appearance Height: 1.78 Meters Weight: 75 Kilograms Hair: Semi-Short Sable Hair Eyes: Forest Green Build: A tad chubby Skin: Pale naturally; frequently sunburned Voice: soft, sardonic. Handed: Right [iii.] -- Personality Sturm is surprisingly mellow to nearly everyone, frequently going out of his way to be kind and friendly even to the cashier at the grocery store. He frequently tries to understand and reason with people, and is generally understanding, though he tries to hide it with saracasm with those he doesn't know too well. Unfortunately, this tendency does not apply to anyone or thing related to the Empire. Sturm's first instinct when dealing with Imperials is to throw them out of windows, into the nearest garbage incinerator, or into speeding traffic. Fortunately, Sturm can usually manage to suppress his wrath for the good of others. Sadly, that did not apply to his first Imperial victim, a Xuphra protocol droid that found itself shattered on the pavement in Xucphra City. Biography: Alexander Sturm was born on Corulag to loving parents. His father was a minor sewage bureacrat, his mother a housewife. The young Sturm was unremarkable compared to his classmates, though he was distinguished from most of them by hunting urban pests of the planet with a stun blaster as his favorite pastime, aside from swoop-riding. When he finished Corulag's mandatory education, he joined Coreguard Security Services as a security guard/grunt. During this time, he was exposed to a variety of foreign foods and cultures as he travelled around the galaxy in CSS' employ. After a few years, Sturm made regular contacts and friends within the security, corporate, and law-enforcement sectors of the Core worlds and among those important to CSS. Nearly four years after leaving Corulag, Alexander met and fell in love with Laura Cascada on Thyferra while CSS provided security for a bacta processing facility. With a promotion, he was able to secure a long-term post on the planet, which allowed him to pursue his romance with this woman. In some time, they became engaged. Unfortunately, Laura was killed in a traffic accident involving careless Imperial personnel who were off duty. Sturm nurtured a hatred to those Imperials, which eventually spread to all things Imperial. Eventually, his true feelings became aware to a close acquiatance of his when he sent an Xucphra protocol droid plummeting over the skyscraper (It's the only reason the Imperials were around, for Xucphra's bacta...so clearly Xucphra was to blame. Sturm has the best logic ever). His friend introduced him to the right people who were set on ridding the galaxy of Imperials, unsurpisingly, it was the Alliance. Since then, Sturm has resigned from CSS and become a freelance skiptracer based on Thyferra; finding people and providing security services to VIPs and corporations. His CSS connections frequently aid him, and CSS often hires him when they are short of personnel for an operation. Skills: Being a profession security contractor has unsurprisingly provided him with many skills and experiences which make him a proficient soldier, albeit one focused on providing security. In that line of work, he is also quite adept in setting up, repairing/modifying, and operating security systems. His youth on Corulag and his CSS work in escorting armored landspeeders make him a fairly good vehicle driver, particularly with swoops and speeder bikes. Equipment: Sturm has access to a wide variety of equipment necessary to being a security officer. However, he has only held onto a few pieces of equipment so that he can be move around more. Name/Type: FastShot Repeating Blaster Pistol Designer/Manufacturer: SoroSuub Designation: selective fire blaster pistol Size: 198 mm Mass: 0.8 Kilograms Effective Range: 50 m Max Range: 150 meters Fire Modes: Single, Automatic, Stun Fire Rate: up to 5 Damage Rating: 35 Magazine: 100 Charges Ammunition: Blaster Powercell A compact piece of ordinance, the FastShot is designed to be used by those you need a LOT of firepower in a small package. Although it's bolt is a little underpowered by most standards, a burst from this puppy will drop nearly anything at point blank range. As such, it has become popular with some body guard organizations and counter-terrorist/hostage rescue teams. Following the basic lines of the traditional blaster pistol, the FastShot differs from he traditional control placement, with the safety being located above the trigger itself, and has ambidextrous levers. Name/Type: Sharpshooter V Designer/Manufacturer: BlasTech Designation: Precision blaster carbine Size: 946 mm Mass: 2.9 Kilograms Effective Range: 350 m Fire Modes: Single, Semi-Automatic, Stun Fire Rate: 2 Damage Rating: 40 Magazine: 100 Charges Ammunition: Blaster Powercell Modifications: Advanced Magnifying Scope (Filters out smoke and darkness), enhanced firing rate The Sharpshooter V is a direct outgrowth of the relatively new Hunter V sporting carbine. When members of the Imperial Ordinance Procurement Command first examined the Hunter V, they found much that they liked. However, they wanted better throughput and coherency from the bolt, and a better scope. Having written their findings, the samples went to various General and Admirals as hunting guns, and a very few where given to COMPNOR SAGroup shooting contest winners. BlasTech took their own initiative, and redesigned the Hunter, producing the Sharpshooter V. They petitioned for a new trial for their weapon, and received it through the intervention of an Advisor to the Emperor, who enjoys target shooting. The scope which is built directly onto the SS V is quickly becoming the standard which all others are measured, and most people agree the that what many call a "lack of power" is a suitable compensation for the increased range. Sharpshooter Vs are currently a standard issue weapon to Army Sharpshooter and Engineer units, counter-terrorist teams from the Imperial Security Bureau, and the Sector Marshals. Sturm acquired his during his time with CSS and purchased it when he left the company. He has further enhanced it with an advanced scope and a heat sink for an increased firing rate. Sturm usually wears a combat jumpsuit similar to the Tuff1 under his normal clothing. It's made of windbreaker-like fabric and incorporates ceramic armor panels under its outer shell. The resulting suite provides adequate protection against most attacks while maintaining maximum flexibility and minimum weight. It is not made to withstand sustained firefights, and is really only effective for short skirmishes. Deployable Cover: This is an Alliance prototype for a portable shield generator to protect multiple people from heavy fire. Alliance tacticians believe it could be used to counter heavy ground weapons like E-WEBs or grenade launchers. The device only has enough power to sustain the shield for fourty five minutes before the powercells have to changed or recharged. AC1 surveillance droids, also called "Spy-eyes," Surveillance remote droids, or security remotes, essentially mobile, semi-intelligent surveillance holocams. They were equipped with a repulsorlift engine, a visual-range holocam (on a 180-degree swivel mount) with simultaneous holotransmitter, and a holo receiver unit. The model moved about as fast as a human and was very silent, able to move in zig-zag patterns so rapidly that most species would not be able to see them. Within a range of 500 meters, the holotransmitter could continuously feed live images to a security officer's holo display, and within that range the security officer could remotely control the droid by joystick if needed. The droids were not very intelligent and lacked personality. They would record suspects and relay the visual recordings, along with locational information, to a central surveillance station, then hide until they received further instruction or were taken over by remote control. Equipped with: -internal comlink -Universal data access jack -Audio recording unit -Repulsorlift unit -Vocabulator -Improved sensors package -Infrared vision -Motion sensors -Sonic sensors -Locked access (the shutdown button is behind locked panel) Modifications:
Photo-reactive Coating: The droid has been treated with a coating of photosensitive, microscopic crystals that reflect the ambient colors in a given area, making te droid difficult to see in virtually any situation (text adapted from Mist's Bounty Hunter Armor in the Darkstryder Campaign book). Advanced Personality Matrix: Advanced personalities are installed on droids that need to interact with organics fairly often. The matrix used usually provides for limited intelligent conversation with organics, sometimes limited to simple information transfers and other pleasantries
. Electronic Lock Breaker: An electronic lock breaker is an antisecurity slicing system that has the ability to override alarms and open all but the most sophisticated computerized locks. Many times security systems use computer-controlled electronic locks that are supposed to be tamperproof. These doors and locks are usally reinforced with heavy-duty magnetically reinforced durasteel bolts (sometimes coupled with minature force fields), also the locks are usally secure against outside communications, alarms, and power supplies. Almost all electronic locks require a password or identity code, and then there are the most secure facilities which usally require a secondary identity verification method. Then there are the most advanced locks on the market which have computer-controlled systems that use rapidly changing code sequences to block slicing attempts by droids and portable computers. Most of the time those types of locks are used to protect items of immense value, and this will usally provided more than enough motivation for computer slicers to develop ways to nullify advanced security systems, the result being the electronic lock breaker. These portable electronic lock breakers have a high-capacity computer that has more processing power than most starship's navigation systems do. The way the lock breaker works is that the slicer takes the lock breakers keycode replicator input/output jack and plugs it into the lock. Then the lock breaker's primary programming spikes a complicated polynomial computation into the lock's security monitor programming to keep it occupied and to prevent it from noticing the secondary slicing program. The secondary slicing program then randomly flashes access code combinations in an attempt to match an authorized code and open the lock. There are disadvantages to using the electronic lock breaker like the fact that the slicer needs considerable privacy when using it since its electronic hum can be heard up to 10 meters away, and also the slicing can take hours unless the lock breaker is preprogrammed with the target lock's computer architecture and coding sequecing, which then it might only take a few minutes.
