Regrad is one of the mysterious and distant Azguards, a race of towering, gangly bipeds with little hair, a grey complexion, and vicious clawed hands. As one of his race, he is of average height and great physical fitness, despite some marks of wear and tear. He is recognizable by several battle scars around the face, and he constantly wears an expression of alertness.

He currently serves dual posts as commander of the Coalition Military, and Representative to the Coalition House. As one of the most experienced, respected, and willful member, he is generally seen as a key figure in Coalition going-ons, and the network of loyalties and duty that expand below him means he has what ammounts to pretty much control of the entire New Coalition.

This power, however, has not come easily, nor is it the absolute power wielded by kings or emperors. Born into the Tribe of Light, a subculture of Azguard, his aptitude as a soldier and his loyalty caused him to be promoted quickly through the ranks. He commanded the first space voyage away from Azguard, and also their first battles with an enemy. His competence led to more and more responsibility, but there was a greater fate in store for him.

The head of the Azguard governing council at the time became corrupted by the whispers of power coming from lost gods on distant worlds. They drove him to kill off the rest of the council and seize total control, blaming the Vrakken, a newly discovered race of people. Regrad quickly joined a growing revolt against this tyrant's control, and managed to remove him with help from the Mon Calamari Republic before major violence could break out. Regrad was instated by a gleeful public as their new head of the Council, and it was said he was blessed by the gods themselves.

As time went on, Regrad led the Azguards into joining the Coalition, and helped command the Coalition in many conflicts. Although his battle-field prowess was poor when set against galactic opponants, things still progressed relativly smoothly for he and the Coalition for a time. He did not realize just what was going on yet, until the start of the second war against the Empire.

After seeing the futility of conflict before his very eyes in that war, he was quick to completely readjust his stances. He proposed peace with the Empire, and negotiated the treaty into completion. Things seemed well, until the coup. Regrad once again called upon his natural leadership abilities, and drove back the conspirators thanks mainly due to a lot of popular support. The Coalition came out in one piece, although its' strength had fluctuated so greatly that the infrastructure was in chaos.

Regrad had won the fight, but there was still more to do. He and the other Coalition heads of state managed to stabalize the Coalition, and completely rewrite the entire system it used. Unusually free of his usual political, buraucratical, and third-party opponants after the coup, Regrad was vital in the recreating of the Coalition.

And so we enter the present day. Regrad has remained content in his position, glad to see some prosperity return the Coalition and working day and night to ensure peace and rest for his people. Expanding the Coalition to include more free people and eliminating threats this balance is all that occupies, although he still manages to show courtesy and concern for those who serve beneath him. This is the only manner in which he has recently been acting on a personal level, and some worry he will be consumed by his work, although if asked, he would probably tell you that considering what work he is doing, that would not be so much of a bad thing.

Allies: Regrad has, in recent years, become a big fan of Viren Quell and his pointed political commentary, to the point that Regrad has appointed him Minister of Ethics and Good Government. He admires Viren's direct nature, and sees in him some of the best humanity has to offer.

Regrad also has set great faith in the Jedi Fraktusk. Although he finds Fraktusk to be difficult to understand, he also finds his more lighthearted and friendly demeanor to be commendable, and his integrity solid. He has made Fraktusk their Minister of Peace, and also allows him free reign to fulfill his Jedi duties.

Jan Dondana and Marth Meer have their own places in the Coalition, and although Regrad knows little of them as friends or compatriots, he finds both to be hard-working and willful, useful traits and commendable coworkers, if a little dangerous when left to their own devices.

After the coup, Griff fell off the edge of the Galaxy, and Regrad cared little. His stance towards Griff had cooled after the second war, one which Griff plotted and one which failed epically.

Although he does not commonly admit it, Regrad has Simon Kain in very high regard, seeing him as an excellent moderate voice in the Empire's otherwise dangerously expansionist regime.

He also has a variety of lieutenants and subordinants that are loyal to him, including the head of the CIB, and his military leftenant Yolem.

Enemies: Regrad has few, if any personal enemies. Mostly, there are only groups and organizations after the Coalition, so he opposes them, but there are no personal vendettas known to him against him personally. He does harbour some hatred for Lupercus, as he idealogically opposes the Sith, and Lupercus has - on more then one occasion - been responsible for the deaths of quite a number of Coalition personnel. However, this hatred is directed into his work to protect the Coalition.
