Description: Beff Pike is a master of stealth and disguise and as such there are very few confirmed records of his appearance that match other verified documentation. He frequently changes the color of his hair and eyes as well as regularly undergoing treatments to alter the tone and texture of his skin. Rumors exist that he occasionally has extensive reconstructive work done to change his physical attributes.

History

Beff Pike was born on the planet Anzat some thousand years prior to the rise of the Republic. Despite his incredibly advanced years very few facts are known about the enigmatic bounty hunter. Large gaps exist in his so-called biographical history, many of these are the result of periods of suspended animation while others are indicative of his going 'off of the radar' for periods of time.

It is believed that Beff Pike was born into a wealthy ruling class in the Anzati tradition and groomed to become a potential prophet for his people. He was given an education second to none but this, it would seem, was not enough for a developing Beff Pike. Soon there-after Beff Pike left the planet Anzat for a life among the stars.

All semblance of chronology is lost at this point, his history becomes increasingly uncertain from here on out.

At one point Beff Pike was believed to have fallen into the service of the ancient Sith, his intimate knowledge of Sith teachings is a testament to this belief. Unfortunately there are no longer any records that could indicate when he began working with the Sith nor when he ended that service. The agreed upon rumor seems to be that he abandoned the Sith some time after the battle of Ruusan.

With the galactic republic just becoming a reality Beff Pike saw his opportunity to further explore the galaxy. It was around this point in his life that Beff Pike met his first and only love; Bounty Hunting. Like a fish takes to water, Beff Pike quickly found within himself an understated ability to kill, an ability he soon honed into a deadly passion. A hardened and indiscriminate killer, Beff Pike eventually stumbled across a group of individuals who would, in short order, consume his life. The Mandalorians would become Beff Pikes adopted people and Concord Dawn his new home world.

Eventually fate would deal the Mandalorians a final hand and it would seem to Beff Pike that he had forever lost his chosen family but even this would not last forever. The galaxy, at this point, was destined for dramatic changes. The Empire would come and go without as much as a mention of Beff Pike. Like all things, this too would pass.

Beff Pike next appeared on the galactic circuit as president of a newly formed Bounty Hunters Guild based on the planet Mandalore. Indeed, very little is known about the actions or scope of the Guild until the faction would eventually end up selling its services almost exclusively to the Anthos Republic.

Skills and Training

Beff Pike has acquired and honed any number of skills during the course of his lifetime. He has dabbled in countless areas of knowledge and learning but, like his fellow Anzati, only truly values those attributes that are directly connected to the hunt and the kill.

In the tradition of his people Beff Pike does not recognize the power of the Jedi or Sith, the mysterious Force, as being any more correct then a dozen theories that evolved before the unification of belief. However; the Anzati have long practiced a number of arts that allow them to perform seemingly impossible feats, of which Beff Pike is considered to be the penultimate master.

The Anzati have developed a myriad of skill sets pertaining to their acquisition of Luck (or Soup). Martial and combat training are fundamentals of these skills, but they are not paramount and as such Beff Pike is a master of psychological manipulation.

As a result of his upbringing Beff Pike is also a deadly financial force with administrative abilities and an intimate understanding of politics. Further developed during a long career as a bounty hunter and financier, Beff Pike has proven him an able commander.

Another by-product of his long life, Beff Pike has become an excellent star pilot and engineer. He has ranged across most of the galaxy and studied numerous star maps. As the scale of travel increased Beff Pike found himself commanding fleets of ships in large scale battles as well.

Equipment of Note

Hunters Gauntlets of Anzat - These unique bracers, designed to cover the arm from elbow to finger-tip, have a long tradition of use within the history of the Anzati people. Only one set of these items has ever been known to exist at one time; a result of the near-totalistic affect they have on the Anzati.

Beff Pike traditionally wears a suit of near-Mandalorian Armor which is very similar in design to the special suits worn by the Death Watch of Concord Dawn.

Beff Pike has a claim to fame in the form of the Mandalorian Cloaking Device as well as a number of specialized starship designs that make use of the highly advanced stealth technology.
