Estro Sabrino

Former Jutraalian Vice Admiral

Former Chairman of the Union

(Current Location: Nar Shaddaa)

Perhaps the only true criminal mastermind to grace the galaxy with his presence, yet none really know or believe so. Estro Sabrino, formerly of the Jutraalian Empire, has risen with a vengence, carving out his criminal network, The Union, bit by bit via his many agents and unknowing puppets. But everyone, even those hiding in the shadows, has a history, so here is his:

Born the simple son of a local Jutraalian Merchant before the rise of Chadd Fearsons and the Jutraalian Empire, Estro joined the Jutrallian Navy in the vain hope that he could achieve something. He was a nameless officer during the bitter and final years of the Empire's independence up until his defensive strategems earned him the title of Vice Admiral. Unfortunately, his great chance at acknowledgement was shattered when the New Order moved in, obliterating the military and empire he'd served for so long through a vicious coup leaving the empire shattered and powerless. What bit at Sabrino the most though was the fact he was simply discharged, dismissed from service without as much as a thank you.

Estro's dismissal sent him into a new level of dispair not capable of being matched, spending his military pension getting drunk in the local cantinas of Jutraal before he was recruited by local crime organization, the Jutraalian Syndicate, which sprung up from the man power recieved from the many dismissed Jutraal soldiers and military personnel. In a way, the Empire was responsible for creating the elements that gave Estro his chance at a new life that would lead him to something far greater than ruling a single crime syndicate. But first, Estro needed to exterminate his current employer, crime boss Mulod Orm.

During his employment with Orm, Estro quietly built up his own organization within Orm's, establishing his agents and informants needed to keep his power base and one day make his move to take over. Both Orm and Estro knew the day was coming that they'd try to kill eachother in a power struggle for control of the Syndicate. Estro moved more quickly though, wiping out Orm with a female twi'lek assassin masquerading as a dancer at one of Orm's favorite clubs. However, Estro had long before realized that a single crime syndicate wasn't enough for his tastes and already had operations in motion to gain enough blackmail information to get Prince Gorma of Black Sun to join forces with him or risk having his operations fully exposed to who knows how many different governments.

With the cold, vicious murder of Orm and the extortion of Black Sun, Sabrino had started down a path that would lead to the assimilation of other syndicates, organizations, and corporations into the structure of his formering organization, gaining more influence with every new aquistion. This unification of the galaxy's criminal elements lead Estro to refer to the entire underlying organization as the Union, positioning himself as the Chairman of its governing body, the Committee. Since then, Estro has ruled with absolute power within the Union, the unknown mastermind behind many of the criminals and terrorists now operating in the galaxy. No one dares to challenge his position and his closest agents are quite loyal. To question his authority is to invite the merciless, quick execution you'll recieve for it.

Few know of his existence now, yet he is there, guiding the Union with an iron fist and no mercy. His sense of loyalty towards his old government killed by his dismissal, leaving only the now cold, calculating mind of an Admiral at the helm of an expanding organization slowly building in influence across the galaxy. Perhaps neither Estro nor his Union are a true galactic power, but there are other types of power than military might and Estro intends on making this quite clear to those who would think otherwise.
