Name: The K’Satizitus
Species: Trandoshan Force Spirit
Age: Unknown

Description

In life, countless eons ago, it was a monstrous white scaled Trandoshan with red eyes that was ten feet tall and appeared far more beastly then normal Trandoshans did. As a spirit it rarely manifests itself on the mortal plane, when it does it appears as it did in life, only nearly completely transparent and reddish in hue. The red coloration of it’s specter is due to it’s evil, bloodthirsty nature.

History

The K’Satizitus started out life as a normal, ‘cute’, Trandoshan infant, who had rightly won it’s place as sole child of the nest after killing it’s siblings. However its mother was disgusted by it’s white scales and abandoned it in the middle of the desert at the first opportunity. Lost, confused, and slowly baking under the harsh sun, it’s life seemed to be over as soon as it began. But then, in a twist of fate, it was found by the dying from of a fallen deity, who had lost in fight with the Scorekeeper. Angered by the Scorekeepers cheap tactics, the dying deity sought revenge and saw the dying infant as the perfect opportunity. It infused the infant with what was left of it’s powers and vowed that as long as a piece of it remained, it will continue to terrorize the followers of the Scorekeeper, even after death.

The infusing of greatly accelerated the K’Satizitus’ growth rate and within a year was bigger then even the tallest Trandoshan. It learned quickly what powers the deity had given it and quickly put them to use. It practiced on smaller, dumber prey first, then moved on to it’s real target: the Trandoshans. The Trandoshan people didn’t know what hit them the first time it struck, leaving dozens dead before retreating back into the wilderness. It retreated not because of any effective resistance, which there was none, but rather to instill fear and uncertainty.

For years the K’Satizitus terrorized the Trandoshans, attacking randomly and unexpectedly. It killed indiscriminately: any Trandoshan was a target, even the very young. Those that foolishly tried to stop it were cut down effortlessly, many often before they even realized it was there. The body count was in the thousands before it’s reign of terror finally came to an end, when Trazu K’Satikur’s ancestor cornered it in it’s lair deep in the wilderness. The beast had become overconfident and got itself wedged between two pillars while chasing the foolish Trandoshan: stuck in this position it was easily slain. However it’s last words were ‘It will continue’ and it did, but not in the way the ancestor thought it would.

Thanks to the promise of the deity that gave it it’s power, the K’Satizitus never truly left the mortal realm and now existed solely as a specter, a specter that hid itself deep within it’s killers very soul. From here it learned other talents, like how to manipulate thoughts and feelings of it’s host and soon learned it could even control it’s host body when conditions were right. It did not do any killing during it’s slayer’s life, instead waiting until his son Desik took over the fledging K’Satikur Clan for himself and only when the young male was sleeping.

However Desik quickly caught on and discovered the spirit and in a battle of wills that lasted for three days and nights, was able to force the spirit into servitude. The K’Satizitus was upset at it’s loss of freedom, but it wasn’t a total loss. It could still manipulate the youth mentally and it drove Desik into multiple campaigns to eliminate rivals until his death by his son, whom the K’Satizitus happily transferred itself into to continue the process.

Many generations passed and while each kill the host made increased the K’Satizitus’ power and influence, it was getting tired of being merely the puppeteer. It wanted to be in complete control again: it wanted to have a body again. Thus far however, each host had been too strong willed for such a thing, so the spirit was forced to wait. And wait. And wait.

When Trazu’s grandfather, Chikonis, started looking for a means to be rid of the spirit completely, the K’Satizitus saw this as an opportunity. Chikonis was too strong willed to control like all the ones before him, but the spirit saw his efforts as the perfect excuse to jump ship when he passed on, to see if another line of Trandoshans would be easier to manipulate. To the spirits dismay, it found that it could leave the bodies of the K’Satikur line easily enough, but it could not possess anyone not of that line at all: it was stuck. Frustrated, it remained in the spirit realm, watching the K’Satikur line, waiting for a descendant that would be weak willed enough for him to break down and take over completely.

It didn’t have to wait long for soon a runt was born to the K’Satikur family, Trazu.

The spirit knew that his short stature would make him an object of ridicule, so from an early age it used that to it advantage, enhancing the young Trazu’s anger and despair whenever he was teased. It jumped upon and magnified any hint of doubt in the youth, including when Trazu questioned an instructor on why they didn’t negotiate with the wookiee’s first. Eventually it succeeded in causing the young Trazu to flee the planet, where the spirit could continue to break him down.

It relished the torment Zista instilled on Trazu when she assaulted him shortly after giving him the first taste of it’s power and absolutely hated Tzosha, who ultimately strengthened Trazu’s will against it. Varcanna’s appearance and revelation to Trazu about it also forced it to start treading carefully. The spirit knew that all good things come to those that wait, so it did once again.

The opportunity to work on Trazu once again came when a rival Clan attacked the K’Satikur. The spirit, knowing what the invaders goal was, prevented Trazu from sensing the danger to his lifemate, resulting in no one knowing about the danger to Tzosha it was too late. Her death tore Trazu apart and the spirit gladly magnified his grief, throwing him into a near suicidal state of despair. (Seeds of light and dark)But it wouldn’t be until Trazu ran away from his new responsibilities as a parent and was drawn in by a Sith lord that the real fun began.

Since the spirit was connected with the Force itself, it gladly helped Trazu with this Force training, under the condition it ‘feed’ it often. Eventually he convinced Trazu to leave his Sith Master to strike out on his own.

(Walking in the Shadows)During the exploration of the underground network, the K’Satizitus and Trazu found an ancient artifact that had a strong Force presence. The spirit realized too late that it was an artifact designed to reveal the darkness of secrets of those that touched it and Trazu learned about how the spirit kept him from sensing his beloved Tzosha was in danger. This revelation only worked to the spirits advantage, for Trazu, lost in his rage and grief, foolishly struck out mentally at the spirit. The K’Satizitus, having been working toward this goal all the long, used his rage to entrap him within his own mind and finally have complete control over a body.

Eventually it plans to figure out how to purge Trazu’s consciousness from his body completely, but for the time being it has other plans. After all, physical bodies only last for so long so it had to plan for the future and Silonik, Trazu’s son, may be the perfect candidate as a future host…
