The namesake owner of Belgardi Limited, Rico Belgardi manages one of the fastest growing galactic mega-corporations as well as owning it's controling stake of stock. An effective administraitor, Rico has benefited greatly from his companies continued sucess and is considered a model for managing a diverse company by many business analysts. This position of promise and respect often has Rico's name mentioned among the most sucessful businessmen in the galaxy, and has allowed him to surpass his father, Belgardi Ltd's original founder, in fame and fortune. Some even suggest that Belgardi is the next Vinda Corp, but even Rico will admit that Vinda Corp is on a higher plane than every other company in the galaxy.

However, the goal of attaining the level of sucess Vinda Corp enjoys is one of Rico's primary goals, and helped drive him to make his secret alliance with The Union . Belgardi has become a primary funder of the secret organization, both from his private funds and lines of credit from Belgardi itself. The alliance however has shown tangible results- Belgardi's takeover of the banking world of Sestria was in serious jeopardy until a Union attack eliminated all the major Sestrian bankers who opposed the move. The Union also facilitated a deal between Belgardi and the Back Dragon Empire that ended with the signing of the Cuitric-Bespin Protocol.

The link has however had some drawbacks. Suspicion around Belgardi's business dealings led to a covert intellegence operation on Pavo Prime by the Galactic Coalition. And an attack on Bespin and a subsequent Imperial visit to Pavo Prime has highlighted tensions with the galaxy's primary government. Still, despite such problems, Belgardi's bottom line has remained strong and the future appears to be bright.
