The Daemun priest Alex Cross wrote those words during the formation of the Black Dragon Empire, but it almost seems as if he was prophesying the brilliant career of Admiral Essex Vaako. Easily the most famous Admiral in the Tion Cluster, Vaako has yet to reach his peak in the expansion of the Imperium.
As a youth on Chandaar, Vaako seemed marked for great things. He became Chandaar's aide to the King while barely out of school, and sponsored many of Chandaar's expeditions into the Cluster. After the rise of the Black Dragon Empire, Vaako rose to the rank of council advisor to the King and attempted negotiations with the Daemun warships that threatend his planet. The talks proved disastrous. The Imperium dethroned the King after his surrender and was executed. The King's staff was soon offered to join the Imperium, or to be enslaved as servants to the new leadership under its new Lord Governor. Vaako, convinced that he was destined for greater things, made no effort to resist the Imperium and promptly joined them in their quest for expansion.
After joining several early campaigns-- and earning the rank of Admiral of the Dragon fleet-- Vaako became an unofficial negotiator of the <a href="http://www.therebelfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=688">Ciutric Accord</a> with Rico Belgardi, taking Ciutric and Axillia under the realm of the Black Dragon Empire under his newly commissioned warship, the Tion Star Destroyer, <I>Necros</i>, the first of the Imperium's capital ships. After the success of the accord, Essex Vaako pressed the warships into the Imperium's service, creating several fleets to protect, defend, and spearhead the interests of the Dragons.
Vaako's inside knowledge of the Tion Cluster and their tactics proved crucial to the acquirement of <a href="http://www.therebelfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=670">The Centrality</a> and its planets within. After the successful taking of it, Vaako, High Regent Anre, the Lord Governors, and Heir Raktus supported the Farfalen's decision to host the Omega Cloud's manufacture in the hidden realm of the Maw, near Kessel. In time, High Regent Anre made Vaako a full Admiral of the Imperium and put him in charge of all Dragon military naval forces, while General Grevious assumed command of all military ground forces.
The following months, the Imperium was invited to partake in negotiations with the larger powers of the galaxy. Admiral Vaako accompanied Sully Anre and General Grevious to <a href="http://therebelfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=675">Vladet</a> to meet the leaders of the factions of the New Order and the Galactic Coalition. What resulted was failure, and Vaako ordered the fleet to escape as terrorists of the Union and the Cree'Ar Dominion attempted a sneak attack on these talks.
More recently, Admiral Vaako was ordered to partake in the expansion outside the Tion Cluster by providing his fleet to aide Commander Sim Aragon, Kix Davin, and Captain Adaala to secure the nearest worlds.
As of this time, Vaako continues to oversee the recent developments in the Imperium's designs for new warships, including the <a href="http://www.therebelfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5570">Star Dragon</a> and the <a href="http://www.therebelfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5571">DragoNest</a> space platform. He also pursues the absolute security of the Imperium's borders to its fullest potential in his spare time.

<b>PERSONAL</b>:
Essex Vaako is dressed in the Imperium's black uniform with the ranking of Admiral. The uniform is made of costly fine-grade armorweave fabric which drapes like silk and dissipates blaster or lightsaber energy, which cover his entire body. His decorative weapons are attached to his lower hips or within hidden pockets of his tunic. He speaks with a low tone and is straight to the point with his conversations. His poise and stature is intimidating to some, as well as the way he carries himself. His moustache and beard is kept to a minimal fashion, keeping his hair somewhat groomed when the occasion is needed. It is said he has a piercing gaze when speaking face to face.
