-Character Physical Description: Aeryn is a very charismatic young man, with a dark brown hair that he keeps short and well groomed. His blue eyes shine with a deep understanding and untapped knowledge. His skin is slightly tanned as though he spends a fair amount of time outside, and is unscarred except for the small tattoo he has on his left shoulder blade, of a black four point star. Aeryn has a solid muscular structure, from his years of sparring with the Royal guards and training his body for his duties.
-Brief Character History: The royal family of Cles IV was returning from a trip to Mon Calamari, when their Royal starship, The Smiling Maiden received an emergency distress signal from nearby space. The Royal transport as well as their fighter escorts dropped out of hyperspace to find a single escape pod floating aimlessly through space. With the permission of King Fre’la, The Smiling Maiden locked onto the escape pod with it’s tractor beam and brought the pod into the ship. Once the escape pod was safely within the docking bay of The Smiling Maiden, the royal guards opened the pod to find a small child, unconscious inside. The boy looked to be about 4 years old, with no hair and wearing only scraps of cloth for clothing. The guards quickly removed the child and took him to The Smiling Maiden’s medlab, where he spent the rest of the trip back to Cles IV in a Bacta tank. When The Smiling Maiden arrived on Cles, the boy was transferred to the royal medlab where a doctor did a full medical inspection. The inspection only revealed that the boy had a single black tattoo on his left shoulder blade. Upon the boy’s awakening, the doctor discovered that he suffered from amnesia and could not remember anything before waking up.
King Fre’la along with his 5 year old daughter, Princess Rithla, arrived shortly after the boy awoke to check on him. Rithla immediately started playing with the boy as her father talked with the doctor on the boy’s condition. Seeing the way the two acted together, Fre’la decided to care for the boy and make him his daughter’s assistant and protector. Upon taking the boy back to their palace, Fre’la allowed the boy and Rithla to come up with the boy’s new name. Rithla convinced the boy to take up the name Aeryn Darkstar; Aeryn being her favorite holo-vid star and Darkstar for the tattoo on his back.
As the years passed, Aeryn grew to be a very strong and noble teenager. He was trained in the art of melee combat and the use of blasters by the royal guards so that he could protect the Princess, and he was well educated by the royal tutors so that he could understand and defend the Princess in the universe. Besides these studies, Aeryn also learned the importance of loyalty, patience and peace of mind so that he could remain aware of his surroundings.
Growing up with the Princess allowed Aeryn plenty of opportunities to experience the finer things in life, and spend plenty of time in beautiful locations. The two would spend hours a day either roaming the gardens of the palace, or relaxing out by the lake. While Aeryn technically worked for Rithla, the two were like family, and Aeryn became Rithla’s most trusted advisor.
When Aeryn was 17, he accompanied Rithla on a trip to Naboo where she was too request the aid of the Jedi. Upon their arrival at the temple, Aeryn was struck with an odd feeling. It was as though his eyes were opened for the first time. He could feel the force so strongly here, and the Jedi could feel him as well. When Rithla and Aeryn entered the council chamber, the Jedi masters inquired about Aeryn and tested his Force-Sensitivity. The Jedi were impressed by Aeryn’s connection with the Force and offered to train the young man.
After thinking on the offer and discussing it with Rithla, Aeryn decided to accept the offer and returned to Cles IV to collect his few belongings and return Rithla to the safety of the Royal Guards. Once back on Cles IV Aeryn collected his few belongings and climbed into the E-Wing fighter that King Fre’la had given Aeryn for his personal use and flew off to Naboo to start his Jedi training.
