[left]Born on Coruscant to Edward Cannex, the CEO of Avion Enterprises, and Lesley Cannex, a startlingly beautiful acctress 20 years her husband's junior, Kyle Cannex lived a relatively normal life. He was taught as a child that despite his family's substantial wealth, money was not everything, and he came to appreciate his father's fair and balanced approach to business.
Unbeknownsed to Kyle, his Grandfather had been a Jedi Knight and fought in the Clone Wars alongside such heroes as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu. During the war the Jedi Knight found a lover, and had two children. Edward's brother, Kyle, went on to train at the Jedi Temple... and was killed in the massacare some years later. It is this uncle that Kyle Cannex was named for.
Edward was born at the same time the Republic fell, and escaped the Jedi purge only through sheer luck. His father died, and he was raised by his mother on Chandrilla. Years later, Edward would make the decision to move to Imperial Centre. There, he would meet Lesley and start his family, Kyle being their only child. With the Empire still a powerful force in spite of setbacks at Endor and Dantooine, Kyle's Jedi heritage was kept secret from him.
That was, until Kyle's father made a mistake that would cost him his life. Avion Enterprises was approached by several New Republic Senators to ship a large ammount of weapons in spite of a weapons ban; a request which Edward Cannex refused. Enraged, and concerned that the request would be found out and they would be discredited, the Senators contracted a mercenary group to murder Edward Cannex and his family.
The family's ship was shot down, and Edward and Lesley killed. Kyle, by some stroke of luck, manage to survive, piloting the ship to a crash landing and escaping. It was after this event that he recieved a message, to be sent "in case of Edward Cannex's death", telling him to travel to Naboo and seek out the Jedi.
After living for some time on Coruscant, Kyle managed to find a way off world and get to Naboo. But not before he settled the family's business. Before leaving the planet, Kyle murdered the Senators who had killed his family.
On Naboo, he followed his father's final instruction, seeking out the Jedi Temple and learning that he was a Jedi. Hoping to prevent what had happened to his family from happening to others, and seeing nothing else worthwhile in his life, he decided to begin his training...
