Valas was born to full blooded Miraluka parents, a very rare thing indeed. He knew very little about his race's history. His father was a force sensative who knew much about it, but was never trained, and his mother was an ex-Sith Knight. Had he known better would have questioned why they were together. He had never really thought about the Sith as evil, he knew only that power was gained through perserverance and struggle. When he was thirteen his father gave him a silver lightsaber. His mother wanted to give him a red one, as was the Sith tradition, but he wasn't truly a Sith so they decided not to. He trained in lightsaber combat under his mother, and trained in the force from his father.
They lived on a remote planet all their lives ( They were hiding from the Empire ) And Valas had never known why. When Valas was about 24 his mother gave him a Sith Holocron, though he didn't know what it was or how to use it. Later that week someone sent a strike team to murder his parents. His mother threw him on their shuttle and sent it off. He had had minimal training in flying, but could barely opperate it. He narrowly escaped the bounty hunters fire. The last thing he saw as he left the planet was his parents surrounded by storm troopers deflecting blaster bolts. He never knew if they made it out or not. He left with only some supplies on the ship, His father's silver lightsaber, and the Sith Holocron he knew nothing about.
Valas is a Miraluka. They are a near-extinct race of Force Sensitives. They look like humans in almost every sense except their face. They have no pupils in their eyes. They see distinctly through the force. Valas wears a thin strip of red cloth over his eyes. He also has a dusty brown cloak that he wears.
Valas originally went to the Sith world of Xa Fel to become a Sith. After several days he began to feel strange and felt extraordinarily paranoid. He became aware that he was not destined to be a Sith, or at least he didn't want to. He Hijacked a Sith ship and headed to Naboo to find the Jedi.
