Background info:
Skylar Sin grew up Sith on Korriban. He spent his entire childhood and teenage years learning the ways of the Sith. He was brought up in a ruthless world by a man by the name of Darth Satan. But one day, Darth Satan was renounced dead. Slain by the Jedi. Then when Skylar hit age 18, he had earned the title of Darth Kane. He is very built and strong, but is still only an apprentice. He is very lonely, and longs for a love to live for, once again. He has a nice ship known as "The Korriban Eagle" and lives with his assassin droid in his ship. He lusts to become more then a mere apprentice, and has sworn to kill all Jedi in his path. He hates Jedi with a passion.

Yeah, it's better not to use Canon characters also. Having masters or family like that, you have to mess around with the timeline to get everything properly.

We usually don't allow canon characters, but depending on how they are well written, it can be debated on a case-by-case basis.
