Vath is big. I mean, really big. As in, so big it’s not even that funny big.
Born en route to Corellia aboard a transport frigate named The Odyssey, his mother was killed during childbirth. Vath’s sheer size, even as a child, was too much for her to handle. His father, if he was even on the frigate, never came clean about his role in Vath’s birth.
The doctors on Corellia diagnosed him with a genetic mutation that rapidly increased his growth rate past that of any normal human. They put him in a Corellian orphanage, where he was fostered out to different families all around the galaxy. Before he had reached the age of fifteen, he had been to over fifty planets.
Around the age of seventeen, he was discovered to be Force sensitive by a very religious family in the Outer Rim. They declared it ‘the work of demons’, and did everything they could to ‘cleanse his soul of evil’, including littering his chest, back, and arms with religious tattoos. Eventually, the nearby chain of the Corellian orphanage who had fostered him there in the first place caught wind of what was happening, and notified nearby authorities.
His foster parents were unwilling to give Vath up peacefully, convinced that, if he were to roam free before they had found a ‘cure’, he would wreak havoc upon the galaxy. The authorities were forced to storm their house, and while attempting to ‘defend’ Vath, both of them were cut down by blaster fire. It was the first act of violence Vath had ever seen.
He decided he didn’t like violence much.
At the age of eighteen, Vath was released from the foster program and quickly became a drifter, traveling from one planet to the next with no apparent method to the madness. It was, of course, not long before he heard of the association of individuals who called themselves the Jedi, and their opposite, the Sith.
Vath caught the first frigate he could that was headed for Naboo.
