Azrakel

The Dark Warrior

The mysterious darksider called Azrakel was strong in the Force when he was discovered by Emperor Palpatine, shortly before the institution of the New Order. Palpatine used Azrakel as an experiment, forcing him to experience the full power of the Dark Side of the Force for weeks on end, hoping to discover how long it would take for an unprepared mind to shatter. Azrakel proved incredibly resilient, however, and Palpatine soon tired of the experiment, leaving the youth to wither and die in one of his hidden retreats, and indeed forgetting about him completely.

Azrakel was nursed back to health by Supreme Prophet Kadann, a minion of Palpatine in these times who had assisted in these experiments, but his mind had been wiped clean. His mind having finally been broken by Palpatine, Azrakel was nothing more than raw hatred and anger, the dark side personified. Kadann trained him to be a living weapon, and to hate both Palpatine and Darth Vader, in order to use him as a tool when and if he made his own play for control of the Empire. Azrakel grew strong in body and in the Force, becoming Kadann's secret weapon, his tool for performing covert acts that increased his own power and prestige.

Over time, Azrakel came to hate Kadann as well, and set out on his own to the Corporate Sector and Wild Space, in the wake of the Battle of Endor. Hiding his Force powers from the galaxy at large, Azrakel claims to be a mercenary and bounty hunter, a career path that enables him to unleash the full extent of his anger upon his victims. He lives for the hunt. He possesses no mercy, slicing through his targets with a passion that distubrs even his most ruthless employers.

Long after the death of Palpatine and his minion Vader, after many years in Wild Space, Azrakel's rage still burns within. Fueled by a desire for more formidable victims, Azrakel at last returns to the known regions, investigating rumors of a growing Sith presence, and in seek of his former master, Kadann. If he is to destroy his former master and the last of the pathetic Jedi, further training in the ways of the Dark Side may be needed.
