Appearance: Silvan is a bit of an anomaly in the business world. Rather than the suits one would expect most business executives to wear, Silvan dons more casual clothing, though when meeting with other executives he forces himself into more formal attire. He constantly carries a small blaster in a spring-loaded forearm holster for personal protection and often carries a DH-17 in a cross-draw holster.

Personality: Silvan is a quiet fellow most of the time. It is not often that he loses his temper, at least noticeably. He constantly maintains a cold exterior no matter what the situation. Even when he has had to kill, he has done so without anger - in fact, without any emotion at all. He's ruthless in the business world and will do whatever is necessary to get ahead, ethical or not.

History: Born on Kuat near the end of the Old Republic, Silvan was raised in affluence. He went to the same academies as Telan Desaria, though he did not know the son of Baron Desaria as Silvan was five years his senior. However, though Telan departed for military school, Silvan remained under the tutalage of his father, a director at Kuat Drive Yards.

During his youth, Silvan developed a distinct taste for the efficiency of the ideal Imperial system. Shielded from the more negative side of events by propaganda, the young Armoth was enthralled with stories of the Emperor and his liege, Vader. He was more interested, though, in the effect that Kuat's ships had on space battles.

Because of his father's influence, Silvan was able to land a fairly cushy job at Kuat in the design department. He quickly rose through the ranks, so to speak, and soon was heading his own design team. This was the team actually responsible for an experimental cruiser. The ship never saw production, as the Empire began to collapse before it was implemented, but it was an affirmation to Silvan of his abilities.

With the fall of the Empire, though, Kuat began to service the rising New Republic. Silvan, wanting no part of that, left the company and struck out on his own. He established a small company of his own, Armoth Industries, that manufactured small arms and other goods for several planetary governments. He established himself on Aleen, a small planet critically positioned near several trade routes.

When his father died in 38 I.E. (Silvan still kept to Imperial time), Silvan received what amounted to an enormous inheritance. As an only child, Silvan was heir to thousands of shares of Kuat Drive Yards stock, the large savings his father had built, a large home on Kuat, and several personal ships, the largest a heavily modified Nebulon-B Frigate. He sold half his Kuat stock and used the proceeds to build his company over the next few years from a backwater, small-time business into a mega corporation. At the end of this build, Silvan secretly approached the New Order with an offer of business. TNO would, though a straw man, become the largest stockholder of Armoth Industries, benefiting both TNO and Armoth Industries.

Currently, the details of this arrangement are being ironed out, and everything is kept below-board. Only Silvan and a select few on his board, as well as several high-ranking Imperials, know of the deal, and Silvan intends to keep it that way.

So he's 67 years old?


Current TRF timeline puts us around 42-43 years after Episode III. If you were born 25 years before Episode III then he's an old man.

Major edit done here. Silvan is now a new character for all intents and purposes, and he will be affiliated (OOC and secretly IC) with TNO. Suggestions are welcome, but please, no snide remarks. Though this is TRF, and I know they'll be coming anyway.
