Biography:
49 years ago ~
Born on the world of Chad III, Callista was raised on an underwater farm where her mother and father followed the oceans currents and herded various forms of sea life. At an early age she was sought after by a Jedi Master who took her on as an apprentice all while continuing to live and work with her family. At the age of 19 she had been given the honor of carrying the title Jedi Knight, thus being able to take part in missions at the academy. A year later after contributing to several successful operations, Callista and two of her academy friends began to jokingly believe they were invincible. On a routine investigation of an outer rim planet, all three Knights were caught in a freak accident. Two were left dead, the third – Callista – found unconscious in the ship, orbiting the planet. What had happened was left a mystery and as a result of the trauma Callista was left in a coma. After months in the medic centers on various worlds her condition did not better or worsen and eventually her parents asked that she be taken home. Once there she was kept inside a bacta tank in a sort of shrine built by her mother.
After several years, Callista’s father Corin had realized that she would never wake despite her mother, Vera, continually praying and obsessing. Eventually the suffering drove Vera to kill herself.
20 years after the accident ~
Callista awoke twenty years after the accident on the corresponding day. Upon emerging from her little memorial she quickly realized that something was wrong. She found her mother dead, her father remarried, a 17 year-old half brother, and the inability to touch the Force. Confused and angry Callista began to quickly point fingers for everything that happened. She hated what she had become, what she had missed, her dead friends and mother, and her father’s new wife and son. With that anger boiling she left the home that had changed so much.
After wandering the galaxy trying to find her place in it, Callista was taken in by a smuggling captain that quickly showed her the ropes. She became part of a smugglers ring, earning her a right of passage. Although things had changed in those twenty years of her coma, she had realized that wallowing in the past wasn’t going to get her anywhere. Within five years she had accomplished something she never thought she would have by the age of 24 – her own ship, crew, and a successful business. While on a drop, her entire team was confronted with a rogue Jedi that insisted that they stop all illegal dealings. The confrontation quickly became ugly and many of her employees were killed. Livid at the circumstances and the supposed “Jedi” that was taking away her life’s work, Callista found the Force that had been evading her. It seemed to only come by way of anger and she was quick to use that anger on the situation.
With that taste of power fresh in her mind, Callista sought out teachings in the Dark side. For the past three years she had trained with a Master to work her way up to Sith Knight – all the while learning new things about herself and the dark path she has decided to moved down. In those three years she grew very close to and then far apart from her Master, realizing that goals were not similar. Craving more knowledge and believing she had learned all she could, Callista moved on and into the arms of the Sith Order.
