Bio: Brant Flir is from purely human stock on his father's side, but from Iktotchi stock on his mother's side. His ancestor on his father's side, his great-Grandfather, was once a great warrior; an ARC Trooper in the Clone Wars, who saved a Jedi and ended up falling in love together and having children. This ARC Trooper took the name Lance Flir. All of his ancestors on his father's side have been great Force-users, but he can't even so much as touch the Force. Or at least has shown no sign of it.

His mother, an Iktotchi pilot, was a wonderful person who was running a commerce shipping company that had been in her family for generations. He studied with his father and mother during childhood, and became familiar with flying shipping ships and using polearms such as swords, pikes, axes, and such. his father, also let him train with his lightsaber, and while he is not Force-Sensitive, he has a small amount of control over the blade, but has often injured himself wielding it.

At about 15, his parents were killed while on a pleasure cruise by some sloppy robbers. So now he had to choose how to live his life. (It is rumored that he found his father's lightsaber and modified it into a different weapon. These rumors have not been authenticated.)

Now, as a teen he decided he didn't want to run the shipping company, and he couldn't become a Jedi like his father, so he decided to combine the two into one and became a bounty hunter and mercenary [also promising to seek vengeance on his parents' killers], and the ocasional freedom fighter using his weaponry and piloting skills.

His most prominent job was a mercenary job with the Hutts using the alias 'Jacen Crescent'. His latest job was a job with some smugglers to escort their shipments to a planet in the CSA and he was 'stiffed' on the payment, attacked, and he made a blind-jump in-system where he arrived at Astral Astoria with a damaged hyperdrive and sublight engines.

He is now 21 and is a somewhat successful bounty hunter, a good combatant, and a wonderful pilot, especially in fighter ships.

It seems good and plausible however:

Those lightsaber skills are iffy. I dunno how that would work out. Basically without any training(like at TRF with a jedi or sith) you could cut a hole in a wall and if you're lucky not chop off your arm and thats about it, though it would be best to clarify that with Omnae because I could be crazy.

One question about the ancestery thing. Its good but I don't think it's explained very well. Was his father a Clone Trooper? Or was his father a Jedi? Or was his mother a Jedi and his father a Clone Trooper in which case why was his mother running a shipping company as well as being a Jedi? Or was Brant's grandfather and grandmother the Jedi clone trooper? I didn't really understand that. It seems plausible and a nice little love story just needs to be a bit clearer.

And finally I suggest that you edit all your posts not just this one. I know that personally I usually look over what I write before I post it. It doesn't involve a lot of effort but it goes a long way.

If he is not force sensitive, the only rudimentary control he would have is not cutting himself with it, which it seems he does from time to time. If he goes up against padawans with saber, he'll lose.

Correct. So is it okay to have this rudimentary control?
