Personal History: Born on the planet Dantooine, there really wasn't much for a child to do other than explore. Mik excelled at this and most of the time got into trouble for it. Whether it was someone deciding that this was a good time to settle a grudge or he somehow made an animal attack, it didn't matter. Early on, he realized that he would have to find a way to protect himself.
The only non-lethal way he could think of is to take two branches adn cut them down to use as practice short swords. He practiced day and night and actually got others to practice with him. At first, he couldn't seem to win but around half of his fights. After training, however, he was able to figure out their weaknesses and win almost every time.
Having heard of the horrible things the empire did to non-human species, he wanted to do his best to fight against them. When he heard that he could fight against them, he took the first chance he could and went to go sign up with the Coalition.
