First off, this is Kach. This username is for my upcoming role-play with Sylva where I intend to also post from the Black Suns POV. I have no intention of actually making Black Sun a faction and all that stuff... Yet. And now what you've all been waiting for...

Affiliation: The Black Sun

Gorma was never truly a member of the Xizor ruling family of Falleen, he was a distant fourth cousin. However, after the royal family was killed by Darth Vader's "sterilization," fourth cousin was about as close to the Dark Prince as you could get familywise. Thus, Vidi became one of his advisors and a highly valued member of the Criminal Empire, though he actually held no rank in the organization itself.

But after Xizors death defying Darth Vader, things started to go real down hill for him. He attempted to maintain his status in the organization by sticking with Xizors niece, Savan, but was finally discredited enough with her fall that he had to leave Black Sun for the time being.



Black Sun broke up in a similar way to the Empire, ending up divided into competing factions controlled by zealous lieutenants. This was when he finally knew he was needed.

He was the last surviving member of Black Sun who had worked close with Xizor, and thus was welcomed back with open arms and pocketbooks. But he soon revealed that he was more concerned with the organizations rebuilding than with his own personal gain. All who tried to bribe him were executed.

But the end result of his strict pollicies was a vastly stronger Black Sun. Seeing the progress he'd made, the warring Lieutenants returned, each gaining a seat on his board of Vigos.

Unfortunitally for Vidi, his reign as Overlord of the Black Sun was extreamly troubled. Only a few months after he had resurrected the fallen sydicate, the orginazation was nearly destroyed by a smuggler strike after he had ordered the destruction of a base of theirs in the Roche Asteroid field.

Perhaps the highpoint of his reign was the commissioning of the Vendetta class Battlecruiser, designed and built to help the Black Sun expand it's underground empire.

But while that was the high point, it was certinly not the most important of his career. This was the decision to merge the new Black Sun with the Union, with Gorma hoping to come out on top.



But instead of power and prestige, he ended up as a subordinate to former Admiral Sabrino. Stuck as the least influential member of the founding members, he grudgingly accepted his position and decided to merely use The Unions resources to rebuild Black Sun.

Slowly rebuilding, the new Black Sun is was much like the old, though it's position is far less solidified.

Vidi realized that Black Sun's chief problem was naval forces. If they ever hoped to compete with organizations that had there own private navy's, they needed ships larger than the low grade Cruisers and Corvettes for sale on the common market. Star Destroyers and Calimari Cruisers were hard to come by on the black market, and thus he turned to the folks at Mandal motors to make him his own.

The Vendetta appears to be a flying Cigar. Its body is long and relatively thin (for it’s size). From it, two wings extend that hold systems to power, as well as mounting 10 of the Medium Turbolasers on each of the “wingtips”. The other 40 Turbolasers are mounted on the hull, with a bank of 10 facing in each direction. This allows at minimum half the ships guns to target an area. The Proton Torpedo launchers are all facing either forwards or backwards.

In combat, the Vendetta has proven itself a powerful opponent. It is capable of holding it’s own against an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. The Star Vipers it holds are stripped down Viragos made by Mandal Motors. However, in combat they have proven themselves almost as deadly.

I'd suggest you get together with the Union and bring your character and ideas more in line with TRF canon.

The point of this character is to have somebody from the black sun pov. This will make the thread more interesting. And I know black sun fell, but my guy revived it. At least for now I have no plans to start a new black sun. And the thread itself is taking place 9 years in the past.

But as for canon... I believe this is supposed to be an alternate timeline. I don't think it'll really hurt anyone if I make a renewed black sun, will it?

:p In all seriousness, we should talk. Black Sun is involved in the Union, and we do happen to have a somewhat established NPC running it (see [thread=114674]Dramatis Personae[/thread]- but we haven't done alot with the actual organization other that using it to help form the Union itself. So if you want to take it over/help run it etc. We'd be more than happy to have you.

Um, if the thread is nine years prior, wouldn't the Union not be in control of Black Sun at that point in time, though?

A very excellent point.

I never said it was, and that was why I assumed nobody would have a problem with me "burrowing" Black Sun. But on the other hand, I did gain a rather low board position with them because of this.

The comment was directed more at the Union than you, Kach.

I wasn't aware that the thread was set so far in the past.


If thats the case, then the Union would not even have come into existance, and thus could not control Black Sun.
