Hey all - have a character ready that I've been working with for some time, and since I'm used to her being a Jedi Knight, I'll go back to previous times and put her down as a padawan, that way I remain true to the rules (which means that a good deal of her character will be different than what I'm used to, since a lot of it was developed after she rose in the rank of padawan).

The truth is, I know that I'm not aware of all that there is to know about Star Wars, and I may need some help, but I am more than willing to learn. I read the timeline and the rules, and if I missed something I'm hoping that you'll forgive me. I also hope that things aren't overly horrible to where they aren't fixable.... Here goes nothing.

Character Name: Tatane Adanon
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Home World: Naboo
Primary Weapons(s): Dual, short lightsabers of a somewhat unnatural blue, vivid and deep.
Force Sensitive: Yes

Character Physical Description:
Height: 5"10 - 5"11
Hair Color/Style/Texture: Warm brown, ends just below the shoulders, and is bound at the nape of the neck with a leather string on either side, so that two seperate tails of her hair rest upon her shoulders (or hang down, depending on her movements).
Eye Color/Shape: Light sea blue, almond shaped.
Identifying Marks/Features: Her eyes are quite bright, and stand out from the darkness of her hair. They seem to reflect the sea, as if looking at it from a distance.
Skin Tone: Fair
Build: Slightly toned/athletic, yet willowy and slim
Others: Has a lithe, smooth way of movement and said to have a soothing, even "creamy" voice.

Personality: Tatane is a calm and considerate person, usually preferring to live on the fringes of society, quiet and observant. She is a collector of knowledge, one that listens and takes in everything that she comes across, and uses it in the future to help her and others. She is a wise and intelligent woman, precocious for her age, and very respective of others, even those opposing her. She tends to look upon the perspective of both sides of a situation. Being wise and knowing of the way that the world works now that she has grown a great deal, she is no longer brash and fiery as she had once been.

She is/had become more respective of the council's wishes and often knows that there are reasons behind what they do and ask of her. However, she is still growing and within her there is an inkling of the child that she once was - and when she is unable to agree with something, she will speak up or note such (though, she tries not to do so in a disrespectful or brash manner). She is, for the most part, an easy person for many to get along with, and takes it upon herself to teach or help others all that she can, whether or not they are in hard times. She is caring and kind, and is often respected and a worthy adversary, as she is both strong and witty. She attempts to strengthen those she believes will be great, and tries her best to give them her own strength, as well as what knowledge she has.

Aside from this, Tatane has been known to be toying with the idea of a "gray Jedi." Her theory is that, as a sort of "neutral party," (though not completely, as she believes it is impossible to be completely neutral), one would be able to look at all sides of a situation (whether it falls in the criteria of the dark or the light side), and make the best decision based on that overall analyses. She believes that this way, one would not be restricted to one or the other's teachings, and yet would lean one way or the other. She feels that as a Jedi fighting for the things she believes in, she should be able to make decisions that would best suit her goals and bring the best advantage. She finds herself believing that she would not fall to the dark side, yet use their better teachings to progress. She doesn't seem to care about most of the things that the dark side promises, and thus feels invulnerable to its bite.

But... as a young person is easily deceived by confidence, she could be wrong.

Brief Character History: Tatane was born on Naboo to a rather wealthy family, who was able to provide their only child with everything that she needed. She did little work, and perhaps that was why she was quite eager to try a hand in it at a young age. She found that she enjoyed and found contentment in helping others - it was a satisfying reward in return for her efforts. Though she was young, she was quite determined to accomplish her goals, and one of these were to make sure that she did not sit by idly when someone needed her assistance.

Through her years, Tatane was sure to make herself a part of the community. She was acquainted with many, very interested in the lifestyles of those around her. It was only natural that, what with living on Naboo and speaking with many, she heard of the Jedi and their philosophies. The Order became a fascination of Tatane's - as she would often ask about them and accept any story - whether it be embelishment or not. She highly respected them, and often wanted to know more. The strange thing was that this very determined child did not seek to become one. Perhaps she was intimidated, but in all truth, she was afraid.

And believing that the Jedi were able to sidestep fear was one thing that increased her fascination with them.

What happened to change her life was the fact that, when her area was visited by a rather elderly man, he became quite interested in this child. Only nine years of age, the girl was ablaze with a fiery determination and will unlike many others. Not only that, but this child - who, he found, was force sensitive - was more than capable of joining the Order. That, and the man fell in love with her calm and collective nature, and her abillity to deal with situations so well. These were all good traits, especially in one so young.

Since then he visited often, always checking up on the progress of this young one. Often they would speak, and he would teach her - what he knew of the world, the people within it, and life itself. He would answer many of her questions about the Jedi, the Force, and more. Without even realizing it, the two had adopted each other as master and apprentice, even something of a daughter and a father.

It was less than a year later that the man - who went by the name of Athir Drumer - decided that he would recommend Tatane into the academy. Though at first the girl was hesitant and still somewhat afraid, she was more than ready, and her burning determination did not falter. And thus, she accepted this new opportunity.

She was in turn accepted, and as an apprentice was left in Athir's care. From there she progressed quickly - surprising Athir at every turn. She was quick-witted and fast learning, and always willing to admit her own mistakes. Because of her level-headedness and eagerness to learn and to help, Tatane was able to make the most of her years with Athir. She even had the knack of searching deep within herself, along with her other subjects of pondering, and tried very much to make the best of her own advantages.

In time, Tatane was given another master, and made a padawan. This was quite an advancement in her life, and yet she found that it was hard to let Athir go. Seeing this as a test in order to allow her to be able to keep from being too attatched, Tatane was able to move on with her life, and still interact with the one man that began her journey to being a Jedi.

As a good student and a woman of wisdom and strength, Tatane has become a part of the Order, and well on her way to making a name for herself. Among other things, she does her best to support the Order and to improve the world around her. She finds it upon herself to make good decisions, to help improve the way of life, and to keep strength in her ties of loyalty and belonging to the people that she has sworn to protect and to help. She is still aflame with her life-long determination, and will do all that she can to preserve the world around her.

Very descriptive Biography Tatane, you certainly mut have experience in character description and roleplaying. I wish you well in your time here at The Rebel Faction. I am too a Padawan and I hope that some day we can RP together as Jedi's.

Wow, thanks. I'm looking forward to RPing with you as well, it should be much fun. :) I'm looking to start a thread or two in the Jedi Order either later today or tomorrow, and you're more than welcome to jump in if I don't jump into one of your own. Good luck to you, also - though I've been inactive for a bit, it seems that you're not exactly new, so I'll guess I'll just say, I hope you're enjoying TRF (Which I'm sure you are).

There are few active Jedi in this day and age. Who was your previous Master? I could recommend you to Kenshin Katarn, a current Jedi Knight who has just became active again, though he is currently training two students, Myself and Ben Firestar.

I didn't have a master previously, actually, save for OOC. I had two OOC, and am looking to find an actual one sometime soon. I'd love to RP with Kenshin if he'd have me - I'm not picky, and I love interaction. My two main goals are to just find a teacher and to roleplay with some others (hopefully in the Jedi community, since I know no IC Jedi so far), so basically training and interaction.

I'll recommend you to Kenshin though I don't know if he'll take you. You could, though, self-train. Which would involve more involvement from yourself, I could also help if you wished to stay in the Jedi Temple. Perhaps we could make a RP which could involve some interaction between us.

No worries, when it comes to training, I'm pretty much open. I'm mostly looking to just interact. Training can get pretty stale after a while, so doing so with others is always welcome. But self training is also good, as I'm willing to and I might be able to keep my previous OOC master if I do it that way, too. Eh, wherever the wind takes me, I say.

Yes, an NPC Master can be more beneficial if Self-Training. I recommend that you consult Kenshin beforehand though, he can provide you with valuable information and can also give you a helping hand if you are struggling.

As I assume this is a OOC Section [Pretty Sure], I know my character is of the Darkside, however, I am sure that later after his training.. one of you would be interested in starting a thread? Doing a series of meetings between Sith and Jedi, as I have not seen that lately, and you both seem like excellent Rp'ers. I have not done to much of this, just one other time for 3-4 months on www.mafiarpg.com, so I learned alot on there, and hope to learn on here. Nicely done on the Biography, and Darami, I hope one day we can do some threads together. Oh, and Nice to meet you [Sorta, as you have not said anything back.]
