For generations, Leonidas' ancestors lived in the poverty- stricken depths of coruscant fighting for survival in the frequent gang wars. At the age of ten, a rival gang ambushed their home and killed all in his family. As the last one left, Leonidas was cornered and had no choice but to fight. His anger overcame him and before he knew it, a brilliant ball of fire emitted from his hands ended the lives of those who were about to kill him. This sent a weak echo through the force that was felt by a nearby Jedi named Aiwan Majura.

Majura, although not approved by the Jedi Council, tried to help Leonidas and get him out of the darkness he was in. But Leonidas failed to see the light while being engulfed in darkness and soon turned to thievery and even bounty hunting to free him from his own personal hell.

Although he did his best to try and help Leonidas, Majura's his ignorance and lack of understanding of the world around him led Leonidas to flee from his teachings at the age of 15. For the past 4 years he has been travelling the galaxy suicidally looking for a purpose in life. The power he once used has never since came back to him. His thievery and new found ability to beat the crap out of people and force them into doing whatever he wants, are the only things that hlep him on his quest to gain the ancient, lost holocrons from foolish traders and lost sites. Maybe this will help him to regain his lost powers.

There are parts of your biography which do not fit with the general attitude of TRF. Not the least of which is your extremely short teh uber deh Jedi application. I would suggest that you elaborate, considerably. Reconsider your Jedi thing and do it according to our Rules and FAQ.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Short answer; yes.

Long answer; there's nothing wrong with the idea, but you've utterly failed to support it. Random Boy Shoots Flame From Fingers, read the headlines... Even Luke Skywalker didn't conjur up random bursts of God powers, canonically. When he did, in the Expanded Universe, it was always supported and explained.

that's the whole point! it isn't explained! that is why my character journeys through the galaxy looking for answers. depending on if i get to master level, i'm plannin on either him finally finding out how he did it or he'll die trying (if i don't make it to master level). i thought it would be an unusual and thought provoking plot twist

Short answer; yes.

I do not feel that you have properly adressed the situation. My concern here is abuse of power, which will get you quite quickly moderated by the Staff and Force Council. Doubtless, when those members come across this entry they will ask much the same of you as I am now. Explain the 5 W's of how this character shot flame from his fingers. Is he the son of a powerful Force entity? Does he posses the rune of a long forgotten power?

Here is an idea of what I'd suggest you strive towards, though I do not expect the same quanity or quality so early in your career... It's a goal to shoot for. That, or you can abandon the whole fire-from-fingers thing and save for some further In Character posts and Role Plays.

Leonidas, the plot device you are using has been used before, and there is nothing wrong with it in theory, but as Beff says you need to back it up. I used almost exactly the same plot method for my primary character, however I generated my origion story almost a year after creating the character, many many months into training and several RP's deep.

Your storyline would do far, far better if you expand it into an actual story, rather than a character history sketch. If that's what you had in mind anyway, great! You can certainly go ahead and start work on it right away. But don't expect to be using these powers until you have done substantial fleshing out of your character.

I wasn't actually planning on using these powers at all until i got to master level. that's when my story would unfold. i've already figured out the infolding of the mystery wether i actually make it to master level or not. if you would like to see it i can pm you if you want

Well you have to go through a training of some sort to reach Master level. If nothing else participate in quite a few role-plays.

We're not worried about that. What we are worried about is your staying power, not to mention the fact that, point blank, we're not fermialiar with you and thus cannot condone such a blatant abuse of Force powers, which is exactly why we have a Force Council and Force Rules to govern these situations both In and Out of Character.

No one is asking a lot of you. Simply that you support your story; that's what we count... the story. Feel free to leave it as is, and continue as you have, but I gaurantee it will become a staff related issue down the road when these things become a problem. I point to your Astral Astoria thread.

Anyway, do what you will. It's your time, just don't expect people to go out of their way in accomodating you should the accomodations become unreasonable.

i am following the rules because, as you still haven't got the message, I DON'T HAVE FORCE POWERS

Calm down, bro. No reason to use the caps lock.
Author: Darth Leonidas. Posted At: 06/26/2006 at 07:03 PM
actually i hold shift because my caps lock has never worked for some reason

Nice comeback.

that's actually the truth, believe it or not

What?! That is some A+ JUNK! Force newbies shouldn't even be able to do basic force powers. In the force, once you reach about master you can have like a signature force move. In your case the fireball thing out of your hands.

I may not be part of the Force Council, but I've read their rules. If you want to be a sith. Don't let Recon see this because he wrote something like I wrote in the first paragraph. PM me or somebody else for questions.

I'll say it again then- I don't have force powers! i lost them all! that is why i have to becmoe a master to get them back- therefore following the rules
Author: Beff Pike. Posted At: 06/27/2006 at 06:58 AM
Yeah. Um.

Here's the thing. It's the whole "lost" part. Why not start at the beginning?

You see my point?

Example: " I don't have the power of god, I lost it. Now I have to become a god again to get the power back."

It's a clever little loophole, that's all. What worries me, and I'm guessing a few others, is that you could, on down the road, abuse that. Maybe it was unintentional, maybe it wasn't.

I suggest you explore your character through Role-Playing in the Astral Astoria, where you can develope and perhaps realize some other history options that you might not have considered yet. Either way, before you rush headlong into joining the Sith, it may be worth testing the waters in the new arrival RP forum...

As for the fire ball, I will have to put down my Sith boot and say no to that. I think at best, considering the character's lack of experience/knowledge, a force push is the most that could be used of in such a situation. Also you can explain the reaction as survival instinct.

I will accept nothing more than a force push.

I also suggest you look in other biographies posted in the forum. I feel you have a rough idea of what is needed, but lack the format in which to present it... take note and feel free to borrow how others have set out their biographies. I'm sure they won't mind.
