History
Xylan Ryyk was born to a merchant couple on the planet Coruscant. Since the planet is one giant city, the best way to make an honest buck was through the selling of merchandise. To the favor of Xylan's father, the man was able to make more than just the average seller. Thus, Xylan had become accustomed to a more lavish life and with this, came extra activities such as learning hand-to-hand at a training facility.
Though much loved by his family, Xylan harbored a darkness within him that at his age was unknown to him. However, this taint was sensed by the Jedi Order on the planet and thus he was marked and shamed day to day by those around him. This would be the beginning of his story.
Upon one day of shaming after enduring it for years, the sixteen year old teenager could no longer bear the continous profanities anymore. His anger swelled and the results of this were catastrophic. Years of pent of rage, hatred, and saddness exploded in one collosal moment, destroying the ground works of a housing building. As it crashed, fires broke out and explosions were caused, killing nearly everyone in the building and around it, save Xylan. Awakening from an unconscious like state, the young boy was horrified but what had happened, for the said building contained his own family. Panicking, he fled to a nearby docking bay and stowed away on what he thought was a cargo ship.
Within a day, he was found out by a crew member and taken before the captain of the ship. To Xylan's surprise, the ship was actually run by smugglers and because of his situation, Xylan was placed on a strenous work duty, offloading cargo and bringing new shipments aboard. Earning a place as a member of the crew, the young man served with the crew for nearly two years, growing in strength and experience from his tasks.
Upon Tattooine one time, the young man over heard the conversation of something resulting The Sith Empire on Munto Cudro. From what basic knowledge he knew, the Sith were those that were opposed to the Jedi. Thinking that what caused the destruction of his home was none other than the Force, Xylan parted ways with the crew and set out for Munto Cudro. Upon his arrival, he was immediantly apprehended for the Sith held no mercy for trespassers. There Xylan had to prove his dedication to learning the Sith ways and was placed under the tutelage of Callista, a Sith Lordess. Though he began training with her, Callista was soon found absent and Xylan was then placed under his new master, Athena Somir, another Sith Lordess at the time.
With years of training, Xylan followed Athena's teaching to the thumb, learning all that she could teach him. Placing much emphasis on his combat training as well, Xylan chose to learn the shadow arts, or assassination. Teaching him all that she could, Athena made sure that Xylan was the perfect Assassin, using his skills as a man and his abilities as a Sith, he is a force to be recokoned with.
At the same time, she was also teaching Zeta who had just arrived on Munto Cudro a few months before Xylan had. The two men seemed to only befriend each other and shared a brotherly friendship as pupils, but it was hardly seen in the face of the emotionless Zabrak. The men though still remain friends today.
Upon a freak accident at a bar that was started by a fight, Xylan suffered a memory loss that has placed him with only the knowledge of the day after. He has no memory of his past life except the one he had on Munto Cudro. Because of this and his loyal dedication to his Master, Xylan claims Athena to be his mother and in private refers to her as such.
