Her name is d’Foose and she is a Colonial Captain; she is a hero of Gestalt.



Captain d’Foose is striking woman; she is fiercely beautiful and beautifully fierce. A woman of severe elegance, she has been referred to by the opposite sex as ‘a very healthy looking woman’ (to quote kindly). She generally adopts the minimalist approach to her own appearance, a common trend among serving women. Her hair is generally kept short, manageable. Although she is comfortable with make-up, it is an entrapment she prefers to avoid. This does not entirely downplay her generally attractive appearance and, indeed, often serves only to redouble the elusive ‘it’. Captain d’Foose, despite her golden blonde locks, is a woman of typically dark features; the cobalt blue eyes are a mark of her matriarchal heritage. At one point seven meters, roughly, she manages to exude an impression of great bearing that denies her somewhat diminutive stature.



For as long as she could recall, young d’Foose wanted nothing more then to become a line captain, mistress of her own warship. As soon as she was able, d’Foose left her childhood home and joined up with the local militia. Her home planet did not have a standing military and she found the reserve life lacking. She knew she would have to distinguish herself. On her midshipwoman cruise she did just that, serving with distinction under fire aboard a New Republican frigate. Her superiors took notice and it was not long before d’Foose was transferred into the Navy proper. For a few happy years she enjoyed a sui generis; setting the bar with a series of outstanding promotions. Just prior to the “collapse” of the New Republic she left military service under unknown circumstances. The period between her honorable discharge from Republic service to the reinstatement of commission as Captain under the Gestalt Colonies remains largely obscure and, as with many of the Colonies key players, continues to be cloaked in secrecy.
