Name: Tiosk Species: Trandoshan Age: Mid forties Status: Former member of the K'Satikur Clan. Current Vice Admiral of Trandoshan Fleet. Description Just shy of seven feet, Tiosk makes an imposing figure with his well toned, yellow ochre scaled frame. His orange tinted eyes often have a mischievous glint in them, his face almost always baring a smile. In contrast to his sometimes goofy nature, he is always posed and ready to fight, as evidence by his choice of attire. Always he wears a simple vest with no shirt worn underneath and slightly loose fitting pair of pants. Under the vest is a bandolier loaded with throwing daggers called H’skzi Zur and his belt is loaded the same way. In addition to the H’skzi Zur he has two fighting daggers on his belt. Skills/Talents Tiosk can hit a target with a H’skzi Zur with deadly accuracy from a considerable distance. No one has witnessed him missing a target and when he does miss it’s clear he only did so purposely. The speed of which he strikes would make a magician proud, for often no one even notices he had even thrown anything, only seeing the result. His skill with his daggers is just as quick, and he can fell a man before he even knew he was in danger: as demonstrated when he killed his lieutenant in Separatist Beginnings. It’s rumored that he is also skilled in talents related to thievery, though it is only his closest friends he admits this too. Personality He is a Trandoshan that’s easy to get along with in most cases. Those that have trouble with him are usually in positions of authority over him, as his carefree, daredevil ways often gives them headaches (in fact he enjoys giving his superiors grief). He is an easy going, laid back individual that is very slow to anger. In direct contrast to that however is a sort of hyper active trait that drives him to always be doing something: long boring stretches with nothing to do drives him crazy and greatly shortens his considerably long fuse. He becomes jumpy and irritable: when this happens he can be dangerous to everyone around him, even to close friends. Underneath even all that is a man that’s suffered tragedy. When something reminds him of it, he becomes depressed and solemn, driven to drink himself into a stupor. This usually lasts until the next morning, when he has the mother of all hangovers. History Life started out rough for Tiosk, orphaned with no home or family, he had to fend for himself starting at a very young age on the mean streets of Hsskhor. He had to steal to survive, became very good at it in fact. A bane to shopkeepers everywhere, he started stealing not just for survival, but for fun as well. Certainly he would have been killed off at a young age once the authorities caught up with him, but that was not to be his fate. He wasn’t caught by the authorities, but by a Sha’tor of a warrior Clan. Chikonis was his name, leader of the K’Satikur Clan and sire of Rissonik and Tnossok. He recognized the talents of the young Tiosk and instead of turning him in to the authorities, took him in and started raising him as if he was one of his own. Tiosk blossomed under Chikonis’ guidance and he and Rissonik became best friends. He rose quickly in the ranks of the Clan, eventually becoming a K’Satikur Warrior, the elite of the Clan. Besides becoming well known as a warrior, Tiosk also became infamous for his pranks: Besk and Rissonik’s brother Tnossok being favorite targets of his. His life would soon be turned upside down however and it started with a girl. It was love at first sight when he met Tirynna, a female just as skilled and mischievous as he. She was also of noble birth, which made him worry that she would never desire a man of common stock such as he. She proved to see beyond social boundaries however and the two started up a relationship that was full of bliss for each other and headaches for everyone else. This did not last though, for she eventually was forced to leave him. She gave no real reason for her departure from his life, beyond conflicts with her family, leaving him heartbroken and depressed. Things got even more difficult for him when she suddenly reappeared one night, but only long enough to give him a child. That child was their son, Silliss, born from the love between them. That would be the last time he would see Tirynna alive. Roughly a year after Silliss was given to him, Tiosk, Rissonik, and a few other warriors were responding to a terrorist attack in one of the market sectors. Tiosk discovered to his horror his beloved Tirynna was one of the victims that perished during the attack and it had taken Rissonik every ounce of his authority to snap Tiosk back to his senses, for there was a job to be done. An even crueler blow came later, when Tiosk found out that Tirynna had been married to a merchant of noble standing. His worst fears had come true: whether it was by choice or not, Tirynna had married a noble instead of him. It was a low period in his life, the only reason he kept going was his son. Things just kept getting worse though. First his son somehow became affected with an immune deficiency virus: Tiosk suspected Tirynna’s family was responsible, but he had no proof. Then Tnossok over threw his friend Rissonik, taking over the Clan for himself. Since Tnossok and his right hand man Besk both despised Tiosk and his son, it was no longer safe for him to remain in the Clan that had been his home for so many years. So he left the Clan with a heavy heart, unsure what to do for himself and his sick son. He needed to find someone who would be willing to take care of his son, so he could find work that paid enough to take care of both of them. Help came in the form of a minor noble merchant family. Seeing him as a good gene source, the agreed to help him on the condition he marry their daughter and sire her children. While it disgusted him that he would mate with anyone but his departed Tirynna, he had no choice. He sired two more sons with this female and soon after joined the Fleet Academy. He rose quickly through the Fleet ranks, almost as quickly as he did in the K’Satikur Clan, reaching the rank of Captain in a few years and earning the command of the then brand knew ship called the Bloodfang. It was painful to have to leave his son for such long periods of time while out in his ship: he worried about him constantly. Thus he treated every moment he got with his son as a priceless treasure. It horrified him to learn that his son desired to join the K’Satikur Clan, fearing Tnossok and Besk would kill him. However his son was strong and was able to hide his condition from everyone, eventually becoming a K’Satikur Warrior like his father. Tiosk knew though that unless a cure was found, his son will eventually fall to the virus that infected him. This fact constantly weighed on his mind, but he didn’t allow his worries to prevent him from performing his duties. He later reestablished his ties with the K’Satikur Clan after Rissonik retook control with the help of his own son Trazu. Because of his duties as a Fleet Captain he could not rejoin the Clan, however he had his old friend and old home back. (-Separatist: Beginnings-) Tiosk, wanting to help Naosha with her cause went rogue and had his ship fire upon their own. Because of his interference the ship Naosha was on was able to escape. (-Separatist: Isolation-) Hotly pursued by his former comrades, Tiosk again assisted the Separatists while they were stranded on a moon of the planet Tissuss. He had immediately made an impression upon the officers of the Serendivus Fleet and was later joined by two other rogue Trandoshan ships and along with the Serendivus Fleet prevented pirates and Wookiees from taking over Tissuss space and capturing and/or killing Naosha and her supporters. (-Separatist: Alliance-) Tiosk became involved in a dangerous mission to destroy the massive ship Sovereignty, which never cost him and his crew their lives. Quickly after his political speech abilities were put to the test during a stand off between what was left of the Trandoshan Fleet, a number of rogue Wookiee ships that helped them, and the main Wookiee ship that was headed by a fellow Trandoshan. Tiosk and his Wookiee ally Tzhali were able to win over most of the opposing Fleet, leaving only the flag ship still in opposition. Despite the odds against him, the flag ship attacked, forcing Tiosk and his allies to destroy the ship. In the aftermath he was promoted, much to his displeasure, to Vice Admiral. (-Uniting the Divided-) Tiosk became the first ship to come in contact with the Galatic Coalition diplomatic fleet. His ship happily served as a both a guard and transport for the Ambassadors until he was inexplicably grounded by Admiral Balik, who cited concerns over his coziness with the Serendivus. He defied this superiors orders in a sneaky way, with the help of his friend Rissonik, by offering to take charge of a mobile shipyard owned by the Serendivus. The purpose was to ensure a rogue faction didn’t take the station over and Tiosk arrived just in time: he caught all the stations supervisors red handed talking to the rogue factions head honcho and promptly ended their lives. This act prevented the station from falling into enemy hands and shortly after Trandsoha joined the Galactic Coalition. Tiosk currently still is in command of the shipyard, waiting for the day a more trustworthy member of the Serendivus to arrive and take over and for Admiral Balik to lift his grounding order on him. He may be waiting a long time however and there’s a side faction that will seem to do anything to get rid of him.
