Ithron - Biography

Backstory:

Ithron was born into a loving and caring family on a mediocre planet in the outer rim. When Ithron was around 14, his grandfather started to speak to him of the Jedi Academy - telling him of members of his family who had gone there. His grandfather spoke of the Jedi of legend, describing how they were the guardians of peace and justice for thousands of years. Later, Ithron realised that his grandfather must have been connected with the Jedi in some way, but he never learned any more than that.

On a particular day, Ithron's grandfather had arranged for Ithron to be visiting a family friend. Days after leaving, the planet was devastated by an orbital bombardment. Ithron doesn't know who by - all the news services seemed to blame a different faction, making the truth impossible to find. Becoming suspicious of his grandfather's motives for sending him away, Ithron tried to remember all that the old man had taught him. Finally, he remembered the name of Jedi Academy. Setting his mind on entering training there, Ithron took his leave of his family friend (against his advice) and set off.

The trip took around five years; not least because he didn't take much money with him - so he needed to work to earn money to go further on his trip. Also, he didn't know where to head precisely. Obviously, as he got closer, the directions became more specific. During this period of being a "mercenary" and working for whoever would pay him, Ithron developed a certain cynicism about the world. He learned how to defend himself during this period. Often working as a cleaner or a janitor for low wages, he got to look around a lot of different ships and stations, and developed a working interest in their operations as well as a healthy knowledge about their crews.

Throughout this period, Ithron retained the view that the Jedi Order were above the deceits and treacheries of the galaxy. Perhaps this is because of the Jedi Order being the only tenuous link to his childhood. On arrival at the academy, Ithron came under the tutelage of one Master Cole Donovin. Ithron learned a lot about himself and the Force, but one day Master Donovin didn't turn up to his lessons. Unaware of the complexities of the life of a Jedi Master, Ithron felt betrayed by the Jedi and left the academy. (OLD BOARD RPS)

For a few years, he resumed his old life but one evening in a bar his memories of the Force and the Jedi were stimulated and he realised how small his life was, compared to the great unknown that he had once studied. The name of the the Sith and the planet of Xa Fel came to him and he made his way there, guided by instinct and what he would later come to know as the Dark Side of the Force. On arrival, noone seemed to surprised - either they expected him, or simply accepted his story.

Very soon after arrival he was summoned to a forest clearing by one Darth Necros to begin his training. After one or two run-ins with the Sith Knight, Ithon found himself learning a lot. Unbeknown to him, he was still learning as a Jedi, not as a Sith.

Several times, Ithron has spoken with Master Vance Jas. Having witnessed the Sith Lord's power at the expense of an classmate - Mira - Ithron has developed an enormous respect for him. It is during the few conversations with him that Ithron has learned the most about the Force. (DARK DESIGNS)

After Ithron's formal training, but still as an apprentice, Ithron took part in the Rodia takeover. He played no active role but travelled to the other side of Rodia from the other Sith. He made it his task to remind the Industrial Tycoons of Rodia whose side they were on.(DARK ADVENT)

After the Rodia campaign, Ithron found himself in a duel with Mira. During this duel, Ithron won by giving himself over to the Dark Side of the Force in way that was not safe. This catalysed the rivalry between Ithron and Mira (Darth Skygge), which was to be become a defining feature of their lives. (PASSION, NOT SERENITY)

A month after this duel and still suffering with nightmares as a result of the Dark Side starting to consume him, Ithron is sent on a mission to Korriban with Mira - his chief competitor in the ranks of the Sith Apprentices. During this mission, they find themselves tracked by several Jedi Padawans. It is on this mission that Ithron first makes contact with Lupercus Darksword.

Darksword convinces Ithron to abandon Vance Jas's (now Darth Vicirus) ideals of Sith Brotherhood and come learn under him. Ithron accepts this offer and leaves with Mira, intending to return to Lupercus once the mission is over. (ONGOING - APPRENTICES 2)

Now with Lupercus as his Master, Ithron is involved in the invasion of Naboo and the Jedi Temple there. Here, Ithron encounters the Jedi Zark Ekan and is almost killed in the resulting duel. (ONGOING - DARK RISING: NABOO)

The lessons Ithron learns here allow Ithron to begin the process of advancing to the rank of Knight - under the guidance of Lupercus. It is at this time that Ithron experiences a premonition of the Crusade attacking Xa Fel. He is dispatched by Lupercus to take part in events on the surface and arrives in time to see Vicirus consumed by his own Force Storm. (HOMECOMING)

Faced with what he sees as the end of the Sith Order in its present form, Ithron swears vengeance upon the Crusaders and allies himself with the New Order of the Galactic Empire. Joining the Imperial Inquisition, Ithron agrees to train Imperial soldiers in advanced Force techniques in order to be allowed the resources to fight the Crusade. (ONGOING - AND YET IT MOVES)
