How do I start?
Easy! No problem! Simple! Actually, it can be confusing. There's one thing you should always remember as you try moving into TRF: If you have a question ASK! We may be rough around the edges, but we're all more than happy to give a newbie a helping hand. It inflates our egos.
The first thing to do is read the Rules, which are contained within this FAQ (coming soon) and linked too in the Rules forum. You don't need to read all of them, a lot of it concerns fleeting. The first few sections are what you should be concerned with now.
It's nothing complex, just a few common sense rules put down in stone.
After reading the rules, you can pretty much do whatever you want. If you have a character in mind, you can start by beginning your own Role-Play in the Battlegrounds. We have no application, we basically trust you to keep your character realistic. You are more than welcome to dive right in.
If you're not quite ready to start your own RP, you are also more than welcome to start a topic in the OOC forum, requesting people to scheme something out with you. You should be warned though, TRF doesn't get a lot of people asking for RP'ers. There are a few out there, but typically we plan our stories out in private, and then start posting them. Just show dedication to get your story up, going and done, and you'll draw someone.
If you wish to have a Jedi character, we suggest you check out The Jedi Order. If you want a Sith, hop over to The Naboo Sith Order. Imperial, check out The New Order. Lightside defender of justice? We have a New Coalition waiting for you. There are also several other more unique groups, such as the Black Dragon Empire, the Kree'Ar Dominion, the Anthos Republic, The Union, etc, if you wish to be different. You are not required to join a group to play at TRF, but it may enrich your experience.
