Why are people so abrasive in the OOC forums?

Basically, many of the people on TRF have known each other for a great deal of time, for some of us well over two years. During this time, relationships have built up -- some positive, some negative. However, inevitably, this has led to people being comfortable enough with one another to state their opinions, shall we say, quite openly.

What newcomers often mistake for outright enmity is, in fact, often nothing more than heated debate between people who have great respect for one another. Try not to take offense to this sort of thing; if someone (IE, the despicable Gash Jiren) really does bother you, just ignore them.

There is, however, a difference between mild enmity and outright hostility. If someone is being hostile, threatening, or in general, is taking things too far, contact a Staff member immediately.

If you find yourself beginning to despise TRF and its OOC politics, Kas suggests that you avoid the OOC forums and burry yourself in the Battlegrounds. That is the heart of TRF, that is the reason you should be here.
