Characters

Everything on TRF is character-based. A Character is a personality that a player writes as. Most people register a separate username for each character, so that they may differentiate the points of view, as well as display a picture of this character in the account's avatar slot.

Everything on TRF, from Groups to Trade and Commerce to Fleet Battles, hinges around the characters involved. In order to have a more successful and powerful character, you must expand and write about the person. The more you write about the person, the more stories you do, etc, the more powerful your Character will become. And just like in real life, what you write about with your character will be what they are good at.

Characters may not be killed, maimed, or otherwise permanently damaged without the express permission of its owner.

If you plan to engage in any "fleet action" action involving another character or group, it would be wise to create a biography of your character in the Biography Forum. This will provide the community with a well rounded view of just how much ability and how much experience your character has gained throughout their IC lifetime. By writing a biography it will also serve to instill in the writer a "sense of self" when it comes to character personalities and realizing just what they can do and what may be out of reach. A biography will also help distinguish a character from an NPC.
